#26 LX Crossing

Last week Matt took me to the theatre! For Christmas he gifted me with tickets to Phantom of the Opera. In highschool my gay bestfriend and I naturally went through a major musical kick, Rent, Phantom, Les Miserables, Moulin Rouge. However I'd never seen Phantom in person so this was the perfect gift! Beforehand we went across the street from the Opera House to the new LX Crossing. It's in the Legal Seafoods family but I've noticed they're trying to specialize their smaller restaurants with more custom menu's. Interestingly, this Legal had an Asian influence. I started with the Cauliflower Tempura, flash fried in a spicy hot Asian sauce. These were AMAZING! Next I had the lobster soup as I had been craving it which was simple and good. Matt had a spicy Salmon dish. No time for dessert as we headed to the theatre!

A German eatery in Union Sq. which is just buzzing with awesome new places. Definitely put this on your list and take advantage of the awesome patio! The decor is really neat. You sit in these huge ornate chairs. The beer menu goes on for pages and they suggest pairings. You'd think at a German place we'd have sausage and while there is no shortage of sausage options, we ordered 8 non-sausage dishes! Matt went with the prix fixe menu. I had potato pancakes, homemade pretzel, and ham/cheese Perogi. The pretzel was ginormous, house made, and oh so good with grainy spicy mustard. Every dish was seriously amazing and I can't wait to go back!
