Karkat can't swim for shit, but probably has never thought about it ever seeing as how he's never really been around a large body of water to really accentuate that fact.(Insert lava joke here.)
(That's a pretty shitty fact though, so let me retort with the very large possibility his timeline could've doomed itself at just about any time at all and he has quite a bit of secrets to be keeping about it because wow, is he ever convinced he had a large part in dooming it in the first place.)
