Every marathon is tough on body and mind. This one nearly robbed me of spirit not only during the race, even months afterwards. Only until recently did I even articulate that I still didn't "feel right" after weeks after Boston. A good deal of happy runs healed the battered soul. I was lucky in the sense that I finished and was able to walk away. There are segments between miles 20-26 that I do not remember. In this case, you live and you learn is something not to take likely. Thank you again @bostonmarathon, the wonderful volunteers, the skilled and compassionate medical staff, and all the crazy supporters who stood out there in that wind/rain/cold. #bostonmarathon2018 #bulldogrunning #pacerfamily #TeamRunNYC #bridgerunners #shrc #bluegroup💙🌚

I found this note in my bag on the bus ride up to the start of the Boston Marathon. It brought tears of joy into my eyes. I love to run and now my husband and my boys give my passion a bigger meaning. Each minute brings me closer to the finish line... closer to them... and that drives me every step of the way ❤️ I managed to keep this note safe and dry for the 3:38 it took me to get to the finish line. I just love my brother-in-law😂 He makes a great cheerleader! I have to thank my sister @stefania_panepinto and my brother-in-law @joe_rodrigues_architecture for documenting this memorable experience and cheering me on in these awful conditions. It meant the world to me to have them there along with my parents, husband and children! I ran for them knowing I will see there faces at the finish line. Before running the Boston Marathon I was told the crowd support would be like nothing you ever experienced. I was blown away!!! The volunteers and spectators were part of making this race all the more spectacular! #grateful #bostonmarathon2018 #bostonmarathon
