#Throwback to a much needed getaway with my fav #travelgram buddy. The goal was #BostonOrBust & #EatDrink our way through #BeanTown. The day started with what was supposed to be the best #ClamChowder in #Boston at @bostonchowdaco (not pictured) which was lack luster & the bread bowl was meh. Next stop was #BostonSailLoft for the #mussels for me and #lobster for him but he skipped it & we tried their #chowda which was honestly one of the best I’ve had in a while. They add dill which I would never think to do but it was amazing. #TrilliumBrewing’s #SourBeer was really fucking sour, but good. His face & QOTD says it all ...“Tastes like pickle juice!” Seriously my throat still quivers thinking about it. We tried their #GrilledOctopus which was so tender but I wasn’t a fan of the potatoes, they tasted nuked. Bar crawl to #BarkingCrab for great #LittleNeck clams & oyster shots and closed day one out at #LuckysLounge which was a fun end to the day, just too much mezcal. I mean we started with it so why not end with it. Amirite?! LOL! Day two was a lot of walking around seeing a #HistoricalSite or two along way. #SundayFunday started with an awesome #BloodyMary at #METBackBay then brunch at #BootlegSpecial. Make a rezzie if you don't want to wait, but know it's worth it. I had their Dirty Palmer cocktail which was great but their #Cajun style signature Bootleg mussels was the win! Can’t even explain how delish it was - just make sure you get it if you go! We also got the trio of pork and #TruffleScrambledEggs but skip the eggs, they were okay at best. Make sure you hit their unique bathrooms, it's no #HouseOfYes but still cool! Last stop for trying to find best chowder was #AtlanticFishCo and although the space is high end ...the service was less than expected. Our bowl of soup arrived with no utensils so we had to wait a while to get someone’s attention, super lame. Their chowder was good but Sail Loft is still my fav and their #BaconWrapped #Scallops looked better than they tasted but were fine.
