From the botanical headcanons for Vesper - ivy, lily, chrysanthemum, and sage?
ivy : what are your muse’s views on marriage ? do they believe it is something strictly for love, or an institution rooted in business & social benefits ? do they desire or have they desired to be married ?
Vesper has been raised in a world brimming over with politics, where 98% of marriages sh's seen are for politic gain, or procuring alliances, or various other social benefits. Most of the time the people don't even like each other. It's usually transactional, for sure. She's also been a voracious reader of fairy tales since she was a child, where the princess marries the prince knight she loves after he slays the dragon(or they do it together) and they live happily ever after. She prefers the latter. Given her uncle's position, she knows the odds of her getting to marry strictly for love are low (>:333), bc she's sure he has plans of his own for her future and while she is a romantic, she's also a realist. Prior to traveling to Teer Fradee, she's open to the concept of marriage, but secretly hoping really hard if her uncle finds someone he wants to foist on her, it's someone she can at least like. After reaching Teer Fradee and how everything unfolds with Kurt, well, her views shift somewhat more
and she doesn't really give a damn about politics when weighed against love and is 100% ready to flip her uncle double birds while she marries her bodyguard.
lily : how does your muse view their mother ?
She loves her mother very much. There wasn't really much open public affection bc that's not How Nobility Does Things. In private was warmer, and she never doubted Princess De Sardet loved her, but there was always this faint undercurrent of awkwardness Vesper never understood until after learning Certain Things during the game. But she hated leaving with her mother sick, hated even more knowing thanks to the malichor it would be the last time she saw her. And she thinks about her mother still sometimes, at parties and other events, in the quiet moments when it's just her and the stars, once or twice when she thought she saw her in a crowd. She misses her. A lot.
chrysanthemum : how does your muse express romantic love ? how do they feel about love as a concept ?
She's a very big cuddler. She like holding hands, hugs, kisses, all the mushy romantic stuff. Has fallen asleep on Kurt's shoulder more times than she can count(but not him; she's up to 32) bc something something sign of trust. Also, very vocal about her partner's value and strengths and refuses to let him badmouth himself. (/COUGH)
She sees love as very important and very dangerous; a true double-edged sword, but one she thinks is worth the risk. (Again, romantic)
sage : what is your muse’s legacy ? what do they want to be remembered for & what might they actually be remembered for ?
Getting Kurt to believe her when she says he's a good person. She would like to be remembered for her diplomatic work, for all the effort she put in to getting everyone on good terms and opening relations with the natives, her rapport with King Dunncas, and there's really good odds she'll get
