All you should need to know about government to understand the fundamentally adversarial nature of it's relationship with the public is that they regularly set up programs that the public neither considers desirable nor necessary and do so at public expense.

They take money, which is very real to you and in fact defines the quality of your living, but not at all real to them (as they have repeatedly displayed by printing and spending trillions) and they fucking give it away to some asshole with specific instructions to be a giant cunt with it.

yeah except for all the sexism, transphobia, homophobia, ageism, and bullying that they just openly allow as "constructive conversation" like people are supposed to defend themselves for simply existing in krp. / this response is just as prejudiced as the people you're shitting on who are on this blog /g /nm. your point of view is the only one that can be right, your point of view is the only one that should have space, etc etc etc. and i say this as someone who shares your perspective, i write primarily m/m or f/f in gen spaces despite not knowing explicitly what sexuality my fc is irl. i do my best to build relationships with all genders and popularities and ages in gen krp as well. i disagree with a lot of the way people try and defend these stances though, because i honestly understand the other side of it. i don't agree with it, i don't think it's as disrespectful as they are making seem, but i understand and i believe there's space in krp to accept both things.

this is a vent blog. people are allowed to share here what they're not able to in their own spaces. and i guarantee most people reading my response right now have already checked out and are dissecting what i've said to try and discount, disprove, and attach bigotry and bullying and erasure to what i've said and what i'm going to say, instead of just viewing it as a human opinion not trying to be perfect, but honest. no one views anything in good faith in real life social media or this vent blog, and that's a big part of the issue.

in krp no one is abolishing the way that i krp, and we are definitely not a minority. just look at fandom culture where gen krp comes from. lgbt takes, feminist takes, etc all have a loud, predominant, and generally accepted place in how we perceive our groups and kpop in general.

if we don't know how someone identifies then us picking any sort of way to represent them is taking a gamble. i percieve lgbt takes on this just as much of a gamble as a straight take on this, so i bite the bullet the way i best feel the muse for it. being straight is the status quo and generally accepted perspective in korea, so adopting that as a safe bet/most respectful bet, to me, is understandable. i can also see why people may view the opposite as uncomfortable. when it comes to trans identity i feel like we all have our comforts with what we're okay with stretching to accomodate vs not, but people are not transphobic just because they're uncomfortable with us bending the gender our idols publicly project themselves as. it's understandable they'd find it strange that we're lenient with it, or take more liberties with it. the same way i personally don't see it as anything more than an exploration, especially in oc krp where i feel like we've seen actors play roles from different genders and they seem to use fcs the same way.

but again, i can understand that it's not an opinion everyone will be comfortable with. i honestly get curious about these conversations on the blog and i feel like there is space for them to be on here, they just have to be moderated and have no loaded language or immediate 'it's really weird' or 'you're lgbtphobic' rhetoric being attached to it all, because both of those things are inflammatory and not in good faith.
