The Gladdy. Gladstone Hotel (1894). Unusual pub in the curious "Arts & Crafts" style that only lasted a couple of decades, and only one of two boozers in the Inner West with a hand beaten copper dome. WTF? Dulwich Hill.

So South Aus has gone into a (currently) 6 day lockdown to try and prevent a second wave, as we had 17 people test positive for COVID (with community transmission) for the first time since April.
Our police have shared a post with important information on who can leave the home and for what reasons.
Ok that should cover everything
Yup only leave home for the most important things got it...hang on, wait a minute...
Is this having a dig at the South Aussies who just bought out all the alcohol, as it was feared bottle shops would be included in the lockdown? (It’s ok, authorities were quick to assure everyone bottlos were essential).
One fairly local store said they normally sell $3,000 worth of alcohol on a Wednesday, and yesterday they sold $35,000 before 6pm 🤣
Anyway have a happy lockdown everyone, I’m getting ready for work 🙃
Time for a little Portuguese wine? Of course Ronaldo takes pride of place at this warehouse booze shop. Marrickville.
The Carlisle. One of the oldest pubs in the Inner West (1876) and a well known landmark with that lion on top. There's been only a few modifications since, including an imported Italian marble front bar installed in the early 1900's, which survives intact. Old timers say it's haunted by a ghost who favours red wine. Great beer garden out the back. Named after some ruined castle near the England-Scotland border. Newtown.
Reflection in a bottlo door. Get your take away booze here. Botany View Hotel (1868, facade last modified 1937). Newtown.

Ex: Do you think you could give me a ride to the bottlo this weekend?
