Okay but: Daryl being a virgin when he first goes with Jesus. And he has no idea what he's doing so he tells Jesus to just get on with it and get it over with, because he wants it - he genuinely does - but he's lived his whole life with this notion that it's painful and not entirely pleasant thanks to the stories he heard from Merle about things happening to the inmates at his prison, and he tells Jesus he's fine with it so just do it already. Except Jesus knows. From hearing all the things Daryl has told him about his past, how until this shit storm of a world happened he didn't actually really have anyone he was close to - he'll even his brother wasn't around a lot. So he just kisses him, and strokes his arms until the trembling stops. And he can feel Daryls tears of frustration rolling down his cheeks because this isn't how things are supposed to go. He wasn't a damn chick he didn't need this lovey dovey shit. Except he does and as much as he'd never admit it if Jesus stopped touching him so tenderly he'd probably lose his shit. And when they finally do it after Jesus spends so much time relaxing him, it's nothing Daryl expected at all and he can't quite believe it. And it's weird because he's sure this isn't how it's supposed to be but damned if it isn't so much better than what he thought would happen.
