anyway I did finally beat the final boss in totk :) the last bit of the second form was definitely the hardest for me, until I remembered I had 40 bomb flowers and he didn't seem able to dodge those lol (I also forgot to photograph the first form, not that my compendium was otherwise complete anyway I was missing like 50 things)
I did see the last player action before I actually got to the final boss which is why I wanted to be sure matt was home for it cuz I thought it was really cool. I thought her speech in the field was a little clumsy but like, that's not out of character. overall very nice.
I think the game as a whole was really fun, and honestly there's so many qol improvements that I'm not sure I'll ever replay the first one unless I'm specifically doing it to experience them both back to back. I also really liked being in a pre-established world, where people had preexisting connections to the main character and reacted as such. and I'm glad I had it to give me something entertaining to focus on when my body felt like it was shutting down last month.
I had to look up the locations of most of the sage's wills and a couple dozen side quests (including a handful of wells) and like 2 shrines. the quest to get the locator for the purah pad and the sage stuff in the ruins were both kind of persnickety for me. also I never fought a lynel successfully even though I killed every other type and rank of monster at last once.
