New Beer Blog Boulevard Brewery and Sierra Nevada Brewery Terra Incognita
New Beer Blog Boulevard Brewery and Sierra Nevada Brewery Terra Incognita @bouldevard_beer @sierranevada #craftbeer #savor
While in Washington DC, we are going to take a look at a beer that I received at Savor. The beer is Terra Incognita from Sierra Nevada Brewery and Boulevard Brewery. If you read my earlier beer blog from Sierra Nevada beers, you are pretty up to speed on this brewery. If you have not, please, read the first part of that beer blog. Bouldevard Brewery was founded in 1986 in Kansas City,…

Boulevard Brewing, a popular Kansas City institution that’s grown to be one of America’s largest craft brewers since its founding in 1989, is being sold to a Belgian brewer, Duvel Moortgat.
LOVE it! Great brewery getting what I assume is a great exit for their company. Ironically, Tech Cocktail is holding an event there tonight.
Boulevard Brewery - KC Pils. It's a fine pilsner. Good for a grilling/yard beer. Bonus points because Boulevard is a local company, and they also donate 10% of its sales to the community.
Gotta a growler full of Boulevard Coffee Ale and Zero Dark Thirty in the wings. It’s gonna be a good Saturday night.
Boulevard Brewery Tour + Burger Love
Boulevard Wheat is a staple of my adult diet. It's right up there with burritos and eating Chinese buffets until I hate myself. So I would say that this tour of the brewery is LONG overdue. Thanks to Katie's Pure Pain...er...Barre friends we got into a Saturday tour (Thanks Morgan and Kristen!) and became privy to what makes this beer so much better than anything in life. The answer? Apparently Missouri River water. Gross. Who knew that pollution and dead bodies could make such a world class beer. It must be something about Lewis and Clark and the mysterious powers Sacagawea surely possessed.
I pass this everyday on my drive to work. It's a beacon of hope to me that reminds me that Friday will come again. I just have to believe.
Fancy new addition where you can get married at. THANKS A LOT KATIE.

The bar where you can turn bottle caps into drink samples. I stole Katie's. To be fair, she did try a few. I guess there's hope for her yet.
The circle of life.
Afterwards we traveled to the green streets of a Fake Patty's Day themed Westport where we filled ourselves with burgers and shame at Beer Kitchen. That Brickhouse burger is literally the stuff of legends. I have dreams about it. Delicious dreams.
It was a fantastic Saturday and I made new friends that enjoy beer and food almost as much as me. Good job finding cool people Katie.
