A two book series - first covers an alternate meeting between Q and Bond, while the second includes the events of Skyfall and ends up as a OT3 with Bond, Q, and 007.

Aesthetics chosen almost entirely because I had papers that coordinated nicely without being identical (which coincidentally also coordinated with my first 00Q book).  I’m getting a kick using sewn endpapers and finding thread in my stash to match, so these were sewn with very subtly different colors.

My typesets generally look like they were done by someone tapping away at an ancient linotype machine with how basic they are, and these two books were no exception.  Coelacanth for the body font, titles & chapter headings in Imprint MT Shadow, and Miriam Mono for subheadings - all pulled together in LibreOffice Writer.

I actually had to make the textblock for Bound By Contract twice.  Somehow when I was sewing I flipped the signatures around halfway through and didn’t notice until the spine had been glued and I was in the process of trimming.  I could salvage the endpapers but had to redo everything else.  Could have been worse though!  It’s just paper and now I have a dead textblock to practice other techniques on.

I spent pretty much all day reading Bound by Contract by Kryptaria and BootsnBlossoms.  I started it this morning, and then kept sneaking a chapter here and a chapter there at work, and then I just spent my entire evening glued to my kindle.  It's perfect.  Definitely my favorite Kryptablossom fic so far.  And I like books and fics that suck up entire days of my life.  Those are the days when I feel no pain.  :-)

I am home! Was so lovely getting to meet you both :) Anyway, onto the important stuff... OMFG the last chapter!! I'm sort of glad that I saved it for the journey because I could just put my music on and immerse myself in it rather than maybe getting distracted halfway through. I need to reread it as soon as I get the chance just to wallow in the story a little longer and absorb it all. But utterly loved it. Aaaaaaahhhhhh.

It’s my favorite ending to any of their stories ever. It was perfect full circle and exactly what needed to happen to bring them all together.

As I told you, the part on the stairs was not originally in the last chapter, but it worked beautifully here because it drove home what happens later on. 

I told Kryptaria that JAQ (she hates that tag, btw *evil grin*) is now officially headcanon for the 00Q Fandom. She and Jennybel75 (and eventually Bootsnblossoms) brought this wonderful character to life and this brought him fill circle. Not to say there isn’t room for more in the JAQ (heh) universe, but this was a much needed fic to basically make him truly an official part of the 00Q Fandom. 

I have deep, mad love for Alec (and Danielle, and now Z). Name one other fandom that has brought new characters into the universe and made them stick like they way they have. This isn’t talent, children. This is art.

A quick note on Bound by Contract

Tomorrow, we'll be posting chapters 32 and 33, so it'll be finished on time! I know there are a few of you who are waiting until it's all complete to read. You'll have your chance tomorrow.

We will be over 135,600 words at final count!

Our next fic has been edited and is ready to post -- it even has a title! -- except for one small detail.

How do we tag it if one of the characters is dead, and it's not an angsty death-fic? In fact, it might well be one of the sweetest, most romantic, fluffy fics we've done.

So, got a suggestion? Do we check the Major Character Death box or not?
