The lake was so pretty, Armin thought dreamily. One might have laughed at the glazed-over, almost reverent expression in those large blue eyes, but the truth was the lake really was a sight to see.
The sun was just setting, behind some faraway hills, casting vibrant pastels drawn over the sky like a filled-in colouring book. Spread over the nearly still waves were the reflections; a watery mirror for the sky.
The boy sat on a flat part of the sloped riverbank, legs spread out, leaning back on his arms. There was a tranquil peace around the whole place, like a separate bubble from the busy, chaotic world.
