♒ ;; Walk, walk and never go back. Go forward, because if you look from where you were, there’ll be no turning back, seriously.
Words he was certain he had heard before, for those weren’t his thoughts; not of his own in this world anyway, but of others, and he knew not one of reality. Not long after, there came the return of the voices, that mixed with what he was picking up around him, and Haruka could only pause in his tracks when one stood out of many.
"Could you not?! Just…Don’t help me anymore! Go! I know this more than you do, so please—!!”
Confusion visible in his expression, the raven-head blinked at the source of the voice—which wasn’t far from what he just probably heard or not, he doesn’t really know—and in front of him was the blond he just crossed paths with, or almost, but now, that was for certain, and somehow, the swimmer was torn between a part of him that told him how dangerous this would be, and the other that told him to hold responsibility (since he was the one to blame anyway; if he didn’t show himself, the boy wouldn’t even know his existence, maybe after a few weeks, but that was going to be a long time).
Though it was strange that even if he felt that a mild headache would come, it didn’t, and instead, senses were heightened that made way for his muscles to tense for a bit, and adrenaline at bay, that same energy of drive and power that he didn’t know where was coming from; he knew himself, of course, but to be braced instantly against something immense that he not know of… It was like, his body was acting on its own, instinctively. Or maybe that was just the effect of exhaustion finally getting to him that was making him feel cautious and on the edge. And over-thinking.
Cue to his eyes glancing sideways to see his classmates who once swarmed over the newcomer, and they were gone, reduced into small groups, and some who stayed to go with the blond were slowly distancing, too.
Judging the way the boy just gave effort to go after him (normally, others wouldn’t give anything after that), there must be an intention behind it, or really, Haruka was just restless; there’d probably be a chance that the new guy wouldn’t let it go, push through, and stubbornly stick with him. Just a hunch, but that was likely what to happen, seeing that there were no others to support him.
Sighing tiredly, the swimmer gazed back to the new student—what was his name again?—and closed his eyes hard before opening them to greet lighter shade of blue.
“… Maybe I could—" Words were thrown out before he even processed it, as if he was subjected to, and a slight frown made to his lips, as eyebrows furrowed. Seconds passed, and a realization struck him of a fact that he couldn’t… there was no turning back. "—only if you don’t bother me.” As much as the lad was expecting the blond to; he should get the message, shouldn’t he? The newcomer looked smart anyway.
Haruka didn’t wait for the blond to react, as he passed him by, and left him a message. It shall be time for the start of the class, anyway, and taking a few seconds of silence (and possible questioning of himself) would be appreciated. Alone.
“Approach, if you need anything.”
His mind flew after he had taken his seat, which was a good distance away from the new student, and doubts were there of how said student will need his ‘help’. There were rumors about the newcomer and his ‘top-notch’ intelligence, but not that he believed it—it was obvious how the blond seemed to be clever, above average, and if he ever needed help, it’d be just because of small things. Things that Haruka wouldn’t be experiencing much difficulty.
