“ Why are you asking me? I wouldn’t know. “
Is it the truth, or is it a lie? Natsuno never makes that clear -- beating around to bush, avoiding confrontation whilst in the middle of interrogation. Cognition derived of seclusion and distrust -- it’s all Natsuno has left to configure on his own and to put this mentality to use.
Death had once again threatened him, the hands that always loomed over him coming closer when another visitor would knock on his door, their fist full of hatred and their eyes screaming for his blood. They had returned; those beautiful, scarlet eyes that followed him from the afterworld. He can see moments of the past reflected in the depths of that vivid red: his hands, blood-soaked, holding a severed head and calmly looking down into the still burning eyes. Just like now, as own speed surpassed their movements and fingers wrapped around their neck.
The last condition was fulfilled.
why is kalluto seem closer with kikyo than the rest of the siblings? how does kalluto view the idea that others have of them? does kalluto try to overcompensate for the things they lack/think they lack?

1) Okaa-san is love. Okaa-san is life.
I’m sure Milluki and Illumi were pampered by Kikyo too when they were younger, and that they followed their mother around just like Kalluto does now. Milluki’s 19 and Illumi’s 24 so, you know -- Kalluto, as the non-casted out, youngest, black haired ( which symbolizes that they are more similar to their mother ) sibling, now continues the legacy their brothers left him of living in the shadow of Kikyo’s giant dress. Of course, the ‘why is Killua so much like his father and why won’t he stay in the godforsaken house and become the head of this damn family’ whining wasn’t included in the pack for the two older sons. Not like they mind, but it’s also a constant reminder that Killua always ignored them when they were like 5. But Illumi passed the ‘expressionless sadistic motherfucker’ legacy onto Kalluto, so it’s okay no one will notice they are dead inside because Killua is shit.
Tfw Killua ignores you so hard you become a zetsu master. (pls tell me u get it......makes nen jokes when barely anyone pays attention to nen)
2) My eyes are too beautiful to use them to see haters. I am too beautiful for haters.
Just like that ‘you is kind, you is smart, you is important’ scene from The Help, Illumi raised Kalluto by making them repeat ‘words can’t hurt me, I̶ ̛҉á̛m̸̧̕ ̛͢Ǵ́͡u҉c̶c̢i̶͡’. They really don’t care whatever other people think of them, though -- not we’ve seen characters interact with them for enough time to know what do they think of Kalluto but -----
3) S P I T S B L O O D.
While Killua was born with talent (Milluki voice: one of the most (or was it just ‘the most’?? eh fuck me) talented Zoldycks so far), Kalluto woke up eveRYDAY AND WORKED HARD AT IT. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. When Killua was 10 he was playing with dinousaurs and bitching to Canary about his mother. Before Kalluto was 10 they had already learned Nen??? They already had their individual skill and while it probably wasn’t God Tier it was probably pretty fucken strong??? And they had already mastered one of the Nen techniques. HOLDS UP KALLUTO LIKE SIMBA......
They probably barely got attention since they are the last kid and all eyes were on Killua the moment he was born -- until Nanika, the hellspawn, was released and they had to make a pause to lock Alluka in Hell but then they went right back at planning every detail of Killua’s life. That’s what Kalluto grew up seeing so that’s what’s normal to then, hence they don’t really care but you know, deep inside they were trying their best for the Family’s Business because that made Mama Bear Kikyo happy™. Then they got into the Phantrom Troupe and it was that all over again. Working hard at it 24/7 to be able to even be at the same level of the people of the group they are in (be it their fam or the troupe).
& he chose twelve, who would follow his every word and walk behind him with every step he took. yet out of the twelve, one carried the blood of the devil within him and cared not for his lord’s well being but for wealth.
however, this story lacked of the absolute leader the masses worshipped -- and for that, it made up with merciless massacres, rivers of blood, children crying and the laughter of those who sat at the thrones of the underworld. twelve followed the leader they nominated and while it was the last thing he wanted, he didn’t have a word against it. disregarding his own wishes, he took the horsemen’s reins and led them through the endless roads of earth.
bare-handed they were; children of the nothingness, sons of the world’s rejection. piles of grey waste were their green mountains and the dry sand was their rich grass, where they’d lay their bodies after a day of blissful ignorance. for the moment they wre born, they were already a burden for the world and thus were stripped of every privelege others took for granted. that favor was returned every day, with the deaths of many as they took everything they wanted, leaving bare-handed those who once owned the world.
there is no wrong in their actions, for they do not exist. the blood they’ve spilled was fated to be spilled, they treasures they’ve stolen were fated to be taken, the trace of corpses they leave behind their wake cannot be helped; lifes are disposable, like trash, and if a social status is the standard for whether or not you are wanted in this world, then that does not exist in their eyes.
‘ i’m going to taco bell, does anyone want anything? ’
[1/15/2016 8:41:25 PM] ( * ignition. ): I wanna hear more abt kallutos inferiority complex in the phantom troupe and in the fam too and how they basically did everythin they were told n why they’d do that and what they’re afraid of n shit u should write abt that
Kalluto loves their mother a lot. Since they barely have any screentime (and are as expressionless as Illumi), even less dialogue, you can only see that through some of the actions we get to see, like baby Kalluto clinging on their mother’s dress while Kikyo was hugging the shit out of Killua and Kalluto following Kikyo around 24/7 -- and that little family tree or whatever that says who loves who or who wants to kill who. What a beautiful fam. So, with all that love towards their mother, it’s no surprise that they’d follow all of her orders, which often are related to Killua because that bitch just can’t fucking stay in the goddamn house. That also includes staying by their mother’s side while she has a breakdown because of Killua instead of chasing Killua’s white ass whenever he comes and leaves the house.
So, while joining the Phantom Troupe may not have been their mother’s order, it was probably something as simple as ‘look for Killua’, where she allowed them to interpret it however they wanted. And as to ‘why they’d do that’, that’s just because of how Kikyo and Silva raise these kids. They are just killing machines that have to follow orders because there is always going to be someone who is the head of the Zoldycks and they are not allowed to leave because Illumi voice: we ride together, we die together. Killua didn’t get the memo.
This inferiority complex thing is probably something that they see as knowing their place. In the family, while they are a zetsu master and developed their individual skill as a young age, it really isn’t much compared to how Killua is one of the most talented Zoldycks so far and that’s why their family is obsessed with him being Silva’s successor. I guess that Kalluto wasn’t alive when Silva was all like ‘Don’t fuck around with the Troupe’ and had already left by the time Silva and Zeno were called to kill Chrollo since when see Kalluto again, already a member of the Troupe, he thinks he can easily climb to number two or one (I’d normally check but internets too slow rn I cannot be fucked) but then Feitan vs Zazan happens and Kalluto kind of cries inside.
Then there’s the “I’m used to enduring” thing. Of course, in they fam it was impossible to take the first place since Killua had taken that the moment he was born but that didn’t mean they had to train less or don’t go through certain tortures just because ‘teeny tiny perfect Killua uwu’ had been born already. Points at Kalluto, this ten year old has gone through the same kind of torture that Illumi, a 24 year old, went through during his training. In the Troupe there’s a better chance for him to become The Best, even if it’s very fucking slim. Good luck getting the second place in the Troupe when there is a member who can literally summon the sun.
The Alluka thing was probably what started this inferiority complex thing when they were young little shotas. Like alright, Kalluto has a lot of affection towards Killua and even if they wouldn’t have left the house until their mother told them to, I can feel that they were waiting to be allowed to look for him because --- I can just feel it in my bones when he’s talking about ‘taking his brother back’. They probably miss him (which no one can see because what are emotions) and they probably don’t accept that Killua willingly left, mostly because they don’t know him that well even if they are family.
Back on the ‘Alluka getting all of Killua’s attention while Kalluto barely gets a word’ thing: this was a different type of inferiority, one that they had to bury deep within them even more emotions are for losers. It’s canon that Kalluto is jealous of Alluka and there’s a pretty obvious reason. What does Alluka have that Kalluto doesn’t? Killua’s love and attention :^). Killua is a really shitty brother and probably ignored Kalluto since the beginning of times. Kalluto is already quiet by default so it’s not like they were going to zoom in and break Killua’s toys for being a shit brother.
It’s shitty because Killua’s already with Alluka right now, so when they find him they are going to see him being all happy and shit with Alluka. Killua’s probably going to be like ‘same phone, the fuck u want’.
Moral of the story: Kalluto’s too good and Killua doesn’t deserve them.
