I know everyone typically thinks about Jason Bourne being a badass, which he is, but he also has a heart. Literally the sight of children causes him to abort his mission on the yacht.

He then gives numerous chances for Marie to get away from him so she can be safe. He is so protective of those cute little British kids. Sometimes I wish he’d just gotten his happy ending with Marie, but then we wouldnt have the sequels.

Jason cuddles like a man who is ready to run at any moment

Relaxing really isn’t his forte

He can fake it well enough but you can feel it sometimes in the tension of his body, in the imperceptible tightening of his grip on you, like he’s afraid someone will come to take you away

He never really feels like he can let his guard down

He keeps his eyes open, watching the room, watching your face, always on alert

He’s mapped out escape routes from every room of the house

Just in case

He’ll shiver as you trace your fingers over the scars littering his body

He doesn’t remember how he got so many of them and that’s frightening for both of you

There’s so much he still doesn’t remember, so much he doesn’t know

He doesn’t know what kind of man he used to be

He wants to believe you when you say it doesn’t matter

He doesn’t know if he can ever escape the life he led before and he’s scared he’s going to drag you down with him

He’s already lost so much

He doesn’t want to lose you too

If he’s learned anything, it’s that nothing is permanent

He whispers “I love you” as his lips ghost over your forehead, your cheeks, your lips

He prays it will be enough

Your smile softens him

It’s enough for you for now

I really don’t know how I can describe my feelings about the Bourne trilogy and then Bourne, the 4th movie.

I love them. Like everything. They’re all just perfect. As far as action movies go, they stand the test of time. All the Bourne movies (as a collective) are in my Top 5 for Action Films.

Imagine Jason Bourne thinking you were dead and finding out you’re alright.

Jason Bourne had been purposefully trained to be good in a tough situations. He was intelligent, quick, strong, and knew how to approach just about anything without flinching. He wasn’t someone who froze up.

That being said, when he saw you again after two years, alive, there was nothing he could do but stare. His body refused to obey him. He could hardly breathe, let alone move. He had thought you were dead for two years. Even now, he could see the hint of a scar just below your collarbone. A testament to the shot that should have killed you.

But you weren’t dead. You were here, now, alive. Then your eyes trailed over him and your expression changed. Suddenly you were just as frozen as he was, both of you just staring at the other in shock. It was like nothing else existed.

He was the first one to move, walking and then running towards you. You snapped out of your reverie an instant before he reached you and your arms opened. Jason could barely breathe as he wrapped you in a fierce embrace, practically crushing his lips to yours. He could taste salt on his lips and he realized you were crying. Hell, he was crying too.

“I thought you were dead,” he choked out, holding your face between his hands, drinking in the sight of your face again after two long years.

“I can’t believe it,” you breathed, your fingers ghosting over his cheeks as though you were scared he might disappear. “I thought I was never going to see you again.”

“I missed you so much.”
