I love Italian sodas. one of things I miss most since my digestive tract turned against me is orange-vanilla Italian sodas with cream... I'm glad you found something yummy that didn't knock you down
Since my desire to be a drinker is largely a desire for fun mixed drinks, Italian sodas just might become my go-to solution. I know a place I can buy the syrups, and I don’t think carbonated water is hard to come by. Cream certainly isn’t.
And if I do want to have alcohol out, I can always do some reading up on what drinks are the lowest alcohol. Or stick to hard cider. (Which definitely affects me, but not to the “woop, I might go splat” level.) Or investigate the non-alcoholic mixed drinks most places that serve alcohol also serve, just in case the designated driver wants something besides water or Coke or the like.
Edit: and I’m sorry your digestive tract turned against you. Digestive woes are no fun at all. :(
