cosplay bow help!

alright, so i wrapped about 1nch wide leather around the handle of my merida bow and hot glued it but it keeps falling down, at least on part is. does anyone know a good easy method of getting fake leather to stick to slick fabric? because on the handle is some kind of smooth woven fabric, but it's hard to stick stuff to, and the bow is pvc. any thoughts?

Alrighty, so, I plan on making myself a bow with pvc piping and other materials. Problem is, I'm no archer. I have no clue on what my weight and inches of the bow I'm supposed to have. I've found a bow online that's 51 inches with a drawback of 25 pounds, but I do not think that would be enough for me. I found a tutorial for an 80 lb 66 inch longbow, but I do not believe I can pull back 80 pounds. And another tutorial I found online was a 50 lb recurve bow at 28 inches. I am 5 foot 6, and I believe I'm supposed to have a bow of 66 inches with a drawback of about 40 pounds. Does it depend on how far you can draw it back and the type of bow I want to use? Any help in my ask box would be welcomed. Please and thank you!
