Reminiscing deer season. Thunder chicken season comes soon but already living in November.

Heck of a day in the field. Wild hog sightings. This video was the third time we saw this sounder of pigs. Crazy.

We also spent 3 hours clearing and cutting about 80 yards of brush and vines and trees to forge a path - on a huge steep slope - into a deep woods spot for a new tree stand. Extremely hard work but so gratifying when we carried the gear back in there on clear ground.

It was a beautiful day, even in all the heat. I’ve appreciated field work this year - and my fitness level to tackle it - more than I have in a very long time. It’s good. ☺️
