What’s your Favourite scene in the Evild Dead Trilogy?

my all time favorite scene from the entire trilogy is from the evil dead (1981) when ash is in the cellar trying to get shells but a bunch of blood bursts out from the pipes + the record and projector play on it’s own to showcase a very scared ash covered in blood in the light of the projector… Sigh… it’s such a beautiful scene to me… i love all the layered voices of his friends he lost after to showcase him spiraling and just how anxious each shot makes you. it’s great.

☆ honorable mention to evil dead (2013) of mia burning down the cabin and having an insanely badass fight with a deadite. love her.

I’ve been thinking about mlp again and I’ve been stuck on what kind of Pony Ash would be… do you have any insight?

oh buddy don’t even get me started.

first of all, ash would so obviously be an earth pony. the whole thing with ash is that he’s just some human guy.. therefore, earth pony. all of his abilities and strength come from him alone.

as for what his cutie mark and stuff would be, most people would be like “oh the necronomicon or the chainsaw!” but cutie marks represent a defining characteristic and it does NOT mean something a pony is limited to. so, i think his cutie mark would be more centered around being skilled in mechanics or being a leader. i think if his prophecy was displayed as a cutie mark it wouldn’t make it as impactful if pony ash experiences the horrors at the cabin. that is my insight.

well, if it’s bowie from ‘84-2015, he is not exposed to any of those forces yet, so frankly, he would be scared. LMAO. he would assume the horror movies he watched came true and his ass would die.

if it’s post-2015, he would be freaked out but definitely not the craziest he’s seen. he still assumes he would die. but i think he would try to help ash.

BOOMSTICK ‘N BIRDIE: AN ATTEMPT OF AN OVERVIEW!

(its really long) (this is just the gist. there’s so much more.) (also, general warning for angst and shit LMAO i am cringe but free)

(fun fact, the pair name is called boomstick ‘n birdie because… well.. ash is the boomstick guy.. and he is very snoopy to me.. so.. snoopy and woodstock… Yeah. yeah.)

THE BEGINNING

in 1984, 19 year old bowie stark (yes he has my name. yes stark is a rebel without a cause reference. Do not look at me.) goes shopping in his towns local s-mart for some horror magazines. as he goes to check out, he notices a group of people around his age poking fun at the 27 year old cashier he usually sees working around the store. they are specifically poking fun at his appearance. so, bowie stands up for the guy. does it go well? not really! but he tried. when ash goes to ring up his items, they start to talk and ash is annoyed by what happened but he doesn’t want to be rude to the kid so he thanks him. a friendship starts to bloom. bowie regularly starts to visit him more and ash tries to find out more about him. they are.. how do you say… they are both isolated freaks. ash does NOT want anything to do with anyone (well, besides meaningless hookups) after the horrors so he’s a pretty cooped up guy. bowie, on the other hand, is also very isolated but more so because he feels rather isolated from everyone and is used to being on his own. ash gets very limited answers or words from the guy in the beginning. as for ash, he’s very paranoid about getting the kid wrapped up in his shit. he knows it will come back to bite him. but (unfortunately) they find a connection in eachother and slowly build a real friendship. they connect over how different they feel from everyone else and find comfort in eachother. they are both loser nerds (and transgender don’t look at me). bowie even starts basically living in his trailer. he has his own ‘bowie corner’. How sweet. their friendship is very… rocky in the early years. ash is very paranoid, and we all know his ass never got proper help for his c-ptsd. so. he’s not the very best fo bowie. as for bowie, despite him having his own life (a job and being an active college student) his only friend is ash and ash is basically his only form of socialization. and family. since his ass lives in that fuckass trailer. they are both also horribly stubborn with discussing feelings. Haha. i hope this doesn’t cause any co-dependency issues right guys. anyways… rough first few years because ash refuses to cope properly and bowie just assumes ash is a war veteran. LMAO. he will watch him have these ptsd nightmares at like 4 in the morning and will be like. Huh. must be dreaming about the army. but it’s okay.. they work on it.. sorta… throughout the years they get extremely close and have their vulnerable moments. (rarely) crying together, (rarely) sleeping together, aww the buddies ever. they are both scared dogs and insecure about feelings and they smoke so much weed together. Aww. aww. this is what’s called the peak friendship era. i hope nothing bad happens. Aww.

AVED, AKA, SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS

SEASON ONE: so… for the past almost 30 years bowie and ash have been living pretty comfortably together and moving around michigan. so, in 2015, this is when everything is fucked and we are doomed. bowie is around his early 40s during this time. when ash accidentally reads from the necronomicon to impress his hookup when high, he panics. as you all know. Fucking IDIOT!!!!!!! guess what came back to bite him..! he knows he has to act really quick… aka.. break the news to bowie. he decides to do the hard part last (talk to bowie). so, after the whole “you can’t outrun evil, ash!” conversation with pablo he rushes back to the trailer to talk to bowie. he knows bowie has no clue about the deadites or any of that shit. his worse fear was getting him wrapped up in that all, or having him view him as someone bad. so, instead of being honest, he figures the easiest way to make bowie get out of his life for good and be safe was to basically tell him that they were never friends and he hated him the entire him and Uhhhmm he was tired of being leeched on by him because ‘you can’t get anyone else to like you!’. obviously, bowie does not take that well. and ash knows it. hell, he knows the guy has a fear of abandonment so he played into that. sighhhh… so… bowie packs up his things and starts heading back to his parents to figure out what to do. time skip to the whole corny ‘how does it feel?’ ‘groovy!’ bullshit, ash is like… Man.. i got a really bad feeling about this.. if the evil is already after me than what if it went after bowie. i gotta check on him. so he takes a little side quest in the delta to hunt down bowie and boyyy does he find him. bowie is currently on a curb with a fun little deadite trying to get at him. you see, as he was driving a deadite attacked his car which made him swerve and as the car stopped the deadite broke through the window. bowie went to get out. the deadite wanted information on ash’s whereabouts. obviously, bowie was too stunned and busy looking for a weapon to respond. so, his face got scratched. when he tried to fight back, he got thrown at a curb. his head directly hitting it. surprise! this causes him a permanent brain injury! i sure hope this doesn’t give him memory loss/gaps, amnesia, blackouts, dissociation, personality issues, or- anyways. thankfully, ash found him and took out the deadite which he HATED because even though bowie was uh… half conscious.. he just knew bowie saw him as what he feared worse. some kind of monster. bowie gets rushed back to the trailer and taken care of by ash. ash feels soooo bad and guilty. Stupid peepaw. he tries to apologize and explain the lore to bowie. when pablo and kelly show up, Oh buddy. bowie is not happy. and then, when kelly ‘runs off’ with the book, he is so PISSED that pablo and ash are going to face this evil he just now learned about. basically. he’s like. Who the fuck are you. ash i have been your only friend for all these years and you want this RANDOM ASS GUY to know it all before me and join you. Okay. not a happy camper. out of spite, ignoring his brand new brain injury, he joins them. he’s also pissed that pablo and kelly basically took his house and room. basically throughout all of season one he is extremely upset at ash and ash feels too guilty to face him about it or really even talk to him. Sighhh peepaw and your inability to do feelings. he is just very upset all his worst fears came true and it’s basically his fault. meanwhile, bowie has been avoiding killing any deadites throughout the season because

a) the gang seems to handle it pretty well without him

b) he cannot bring himself to stomach it

so… around the season finale.. when pablo is experiencing the whole demon baby shit (we love our powerful vagina!) he is with ash as they fight with the demon spawn to get to pablo.. Sigh…. due to all his pent up anger from being thrown into all of this, and seeing ash be attacked by a spawn, he uses a hatchet to decapitate one. he freezes up after. Poor guy covered in the black goop and blood. ash feels HORRIBLE. he sees himself, when he was scared and made his first kill in the cabin. and, he sees bowie as when he first met him, compared to now. and how he is here because of him. but, Uhm, they do not have time to deal with that.. so ash grabs his arm and drags him along to finish the mission. bowie isn’t really there. when ash takes the deal with ruby, bowie feels even worse. he feels he murdered that spawn for nothing. but of course, they have no time to talk about that. i hope this doesn’t cause any more issues to arise.

SEASON TWO: season two. the hater era. bowie in this season is very… off in his own world. pablo and kelly try to speak with him, but it’s a brick wall. he tries to be kinder to them though. he doesn’t blame them, he’s just mad at ash. and he appreciates their efforts for trying. he barely talks to ash, or anyone in that manner. when the ghostbeaters have to kill, he just goes along with it. when they make it to elk grove, despite the crumble of his and ash’s friendship, he stands up for him when it comes to brock or the townspeople. he kinda hates himself for it. during season two shenanigans, he is usually off on his own due to his new habit of sneaking out and his new found alcohol problem. he has never drank before this, but now it feels reasonable. he’s very pathetic and sad in this era. i am talking living in his car and sleeping with ash’s iron gauntlet (yes he kept it) (he wishes he was back in the past). unfortunately, all this drinking and being out during the late hours of the night have made him a target for a certain demon that has a fun little idea to use him to get to ash. Can you guys. can you guys guess who. rhymes with bill. Well… not really. you know who. baal. during the whole cheryl reunion, bowie is there with ash and as a little treat he also gets taken by baal alongside ash. they are in the same building, but in two separate ‘personal hells’ as i like to call it. ash, in the mental ward, swears he saw bowie also get taken. as he goes to look around, he finds a well protected room. once inside, he finds bowie strapped to a chair with his skull bashed in. he has no memory of ash at all and can’t properly speak. when ash goes to ask baal about it, baal’s evil ass is like ‘ashhh, don’t you remember? he was your old roommate before you were convinced he was a deadite and you bashed his skull in. poor guy.’ Yeah. sorry. horror city. as for bowie, his own personal hell is that he’s back at the trailer park. he assumes its all normal until he realizes in this universe, ash really does hate him and the ghostbeaters never got together. they have no clue who he is. and also. the evil is going to take over the world. Yeah. sorry buddy. the world fucking sucks. everyone hates you also Uhhh deadite city. baal shows up and is like wow isn’t this world so bad. this is basically your reality in a way. this is what it’s heading towards. Wow. your life sucks. don’t you just.. i don’t Knowwww.. not wanna be here anymore. Now. just hear me out. basically, baal’s plan is to get bowie to off himself so he has one less member on the team and it’s a way to make ash be even more vulnerable and join his side easier. the ghostbeaters pull up and get bowie out first, so he doesn’t go through with it. they save ash, blah blah, the pablo incident. ash saw bowie with the ghostbeaters, so he assumed bowie was fine the entire time. due to the pablo incident, they uh.. do not have time to talk about the baal stuff. notice how it just. Keeps piling. Oh yeah. these guys are so emotionally aware. it’s so. Great. during the whole final cabin battle with baal, ash panics and realizes… Huh.. wow… maybe i actually DON’T want to lose bowie and i gotta make things right with him. i want him to know i care. so they have a quick little moment during a fight. after the whole cabin incident, they have a proper talk about everything and make up. Oh. the rainbow is coming out from the rain. Oughh oughh i hate them. they go over everything that happened and they maybe cry a little and maybe hold eachother i cannot comment on that they will be embarrassed and say they are real men Who don’t do that. anyways… ash gets bowie a little snoopy necklace as a sign of friendship and also. out of fear of bowie forgetting him. Awww aww. guys see. it’s not all horror city. Guys. said with tears in eyes. when ash is seen as a hero, bowie is sooo pissed because of how fake elk grove is but he can’t help the warmness he feels at how happy ash is. Aww. throws up.

SEASON THREE: JOYFULMAXXING!!!! season three is sunshine, rainbows, and puppy dogs. Kind of. friendship era is BACK!!!!!!! bowie makes little matching ghost pins for everyone Awww. that’s his family Aww. and when brandy comes in, he LOVES HER!!!! SO MUCH!!!! he relates to her a lot and is basically her slightly cool uncle. Yeah.. your dad is an ass.. but i lived with him almost my whole life. he’s not half bad. (i hate them) (i hope they explode) (said with cuteness aggression) anyways… i don’t really have season three written out as much as everything else so it’s still kind of a wip but just know. bowie is there. lurking. during the season three shenanigans. he helps brandy get dressed for the dance, he loses his shit at the dance. him and pablo are victims of imposter ash. he also doesn’t handle the brandy horrors well. during the mettle of man shit… Oh buddy. Horror city again. let’s just say uhhh him and the ghostbeaters go to check on the remains of the scene after the battle died down and all bowie found was ash’s (broken) prosthetic and his teared up shirt. Does not handle it well. he isolated himself for awhile. but guys.. it’s okay.. it’s okay.. (said while rocking back and forth) there was definitely a season four and they all look for ash… (starts scratching at the walls) Right.. haha.

that was NOT an overview. but. there truly is a lot. i tried to keep it.. simple.. keyword. tried. anyways… that’s the uh.. main storyline. guys he was actually in the show. Guys.
