On my way to the first Wisconsin abortion fund bowlathon celebration, captaining Queer Witches for Abortion Access. ~75% of people seeking abortions live in or near poverty; queer and trans folks are disproportionately impoverished and also at elevated risk of sexual violence. In Wisconsin, we face additional barriers in the form of forced ultrasounds and a 24-hour waiting period that further increases costs for the majority of residents who must travel across county lines to reach a provider. As queer witches (and friends) we fiercely support bodily autonomy for ALL, and prioritize the specific need for practical access to abortion for people of all genders.

Now more than ever, abortion funds are necessary to allow the most vulnerable among us to exercise their legal right to abortion care. Forced birth is physical and mental torture; abortion is a human right. Please help us defend that right in Wisconsin, where some of the most restrictive laws in the country not only further degrade pregnant people's health, but make abortion even more expensive to obtain.
