He hadn’t been talking for that long…he was just a big fan of the professor and his book, he’d read it a number of times - on the recommendation of his father and he was excited to finally be able to discuss it with the man himself. Apparently though, there was another kind of excitement in the air though because he wasn’t sure why, or how but he suddenly found himself crowded against the wall and being kissed!, by NEWT SCAMANDER. It took a good few moments to register before his lips moved out of reaction against the other man’s and he pulled away breathless and a wee bit confused, “Uh…yes.” He mumbled.

“Unless you want to be eaten, fuck off and let me sleep.” As far as he was aware it was still day time. It was difficult to tell what time it was being in the case. Everything changed too quickly, he just stopped trying to figure it out.

It was hard to not catch the scent the moment Newt entered the case. It was bad enough he was being forced to stay inside a suitcase with animals, then being forced to get a manicure -of all things-, now being forced to smell dog on the owner of said case.

Jerry didn’t even bother disguising the snarl that crossed his lips when Newt passed, dark eyes following him like a hawk watching it’s prey. “You reek of mutt.”

BOI THAT TOO LIKE IM SO???? SHE SPENT EXACTLY 102% OF THE DAMN PLAY DISLIKING SCORPIUS AF AND LIKE I GET THAT SCORPIUS IS A PRECIOUS CHILD AND SO KIND AND WOULDNT REALLY SAY ANYTHING ABOUT HER BEING MEAN TO HIM BUT???? The two of them had been quietly reading, or writing in Newt’s case, not really paying much attention to each other, just spending the evening together in relative silence. Occasionally, Newt would pipe up about something he was trying to express in his manuscript, getting himself excited about one of his creatures while Graves tried to help him figure out which quirks were best not included in his writing.

Newt had been silent for a while, leaning against Graves’ chest. Graves had assumed he’d been reading through his draft, but when he finally put his book down, ready to move, Newt didn’t shift. He glanced down at the younger wizard, meaning to shake him out of his musings, only to find him fast asleep. Graves smiled softly, shifting a little to make himself more comfortable before wrapping his arms around Newt, letting him sleep.
