♛ — TRUST DIDN’T COME EASY FOR HIM. It took a while for him to be able to trust humans. Especially ones that didn’t trust him in return. It frustrated him to no end when he was D E N I E D access to something or somewhere just because he previously worked for the EMPIRE. Only a very select few seemed to trust him. He in turn, only trusted half of them. It was nothing personal, they just annoyed him with their constant talking. If he was human, he was sure he’d have CONSTANT headaches.
One human he was fond of (not that he’d ever admit it), was Caroline. He had a soft spot for her (again, he would never admit it out loud). There was something about her. Perhaps it was how she seemed to treat him as if he wasn’t the ENEMY, unlike the majority of those still alive.
Whenever he saw her to be ALONE with someone he didn’t trust, K-2SO found the urge to be close by. Just encase. He knew she could handle herself, she had proved that, he was simply lingering as a SAFETY precaution. This time however, he was bored, and he wanted ATTENTION. It was near impossible for him to be silent when approaching someone. So he didn’t bother trying. Walking to stand behind the blonde, K-2SO cocked his head to the side, bright eyes trained on the UNWELCOME presence.
“Is this irritating specimen bothering you?”
Bio Built in the Empire as a KX-series Security Droid, K-2SO was reprogrammed by the Rebel Alliance to serve them instead of the Empire. He is a member of Extraction Team Bravo and close companion to Cassian Andor. Unlike most KX droids, minor glitches in K-2SO’s programming left him with a self-aware personality after his reprogramming. He is cynical, sarcastic, pessimistic and stoic. K-2SO has a habit of disobeying orders to prove his worth during missions. He ignores direct orders he feels to be counterproductive and scolds others for neglecting to listen to his advice. Despite his attitude, K-2SO is loyal to those he trusts.

“I saw you, with my own eyes. You can deny it all you want, but I’m onto you.” Raising his hand, he gave a brief ‘i’m watching you’, gesture. Why did he continue to pick fights with the droid? It wasn’t normal. Picking fights with anyone with a beating heart would be normal, but a droid? He was beginning to think it made him look weird.
“I’ve looked into various methods to have it restored and there’s nothing. So don’t give me that ‘i know people,’ bullshit. You are the last thing I would trust in this mater.” Turning, he tried to focus his attention on his datapad. Snapping would get him nowhere, as relieving as it would be.
“And how do you know that your eyes were not playing tricks on you? Hmm? For all I know you could have seen some tall, dark apparition.” Humans. He questioned their seemingly delusional nature at times. Kaytoo had witnessed those who were utterly drunk. They saw things that no one else did. Judging by the man’s peculiar actions, it was apparent to him that this man was under the influence of something. If only that was the case.
“You sound like an assortment of other beings I’ve had the misfortune of meeting. You all are so bitter about your own lack of trust in me. I do not see why you all become so passionate about it.”
The ginger-tinted blonde gave the droid a DEADPAN look. “I’m not blind.” He had 20/20 vision. He will not slap the droid, he will not slap the droid, he’d probably BREAK his hand if he even attempted it. “I don’t care what I sound like to you. To me you sound like NOTHING but a walking toaster.” A poor attempt at an insult, but it was too late to take it back.
Shaking his head, he looked away, lips twitching into a forced smile. “You know what? I’m going to be the MATURE one-” for once. “-and end this now. You’re clearly in some form of DENIAL, something I blame your circuits for. You must be experiencing some form of lag.” He briefly wondered if he made a plea to the council he could try RECONFIGURE the droid to be better mannered..

Unexpected, but he shouldn’t have been SURPRISED. The vampire did tend to let his morals get in the way of things. Allowing a somewhat innocent to turn would most likely set a heavy GUILT on his shoulders. Yet strangely he was fine with being the cause of said guilt. “Honestly, I’d rather live with the SCAR than be permanently dead. Being dead sounds like it would be a bad thing whereas living as a vampire would be BETTER.”
If he did turn, there was a very high chance he would come to REGRET it in a few years. A small shrug was given. “Suppose it’s just a matter of DIFFERENT opinions at the end of the day. Or you’d just rather me dead so you can have my room or WHATEVER crap I own.”
