Dark Descent

Clara was pacing anxiously in the console room, waiting for The Doctor.  Today was the day she vowed to herself she was going to tell him about her real self. You’re psycho.. he’ll kick you out immediately.  She thought, then the other side of her fought back, Or, he cares for you too much to do that.  I guess we’ll find out. Clara sighed and groaned a little, crossing her arms and tapping her foot, anxiously awaiting his arrival.

@bowtiesandsideburns “No, no, no! Come on!” Piper exclaimed as she smacked her computer. She had been in the middle of a livestream for her channel when it abruptly crashed. Her game system shut off as did her computer and camera. She quickly sent out a tweet, letting her followers know that she would try to get the stream up and running again. When she turned to figure out the problem, her phone buzzed. Someone replied to her tweet. ‘Weird,’ she thought, 'I thought I turned off notifications for that.’ She picked up her phone and read it. It said for her to call this number and that it would solve her problem. It was a rather long number, several digits too many. Piper normally avoided what seemed to be scam numbers, but what did she have to lose? Unlocking her phone, she dialed the long number and waited for an answer.

Rose ran.

She’d never run so far nor so fast in her life. Corridor after corridor, turn after turn, she didn’t stop running. She couldn’t, otherwise the Doctor would catch her. He’d changed, and he wasn’t himself anymore, he was evil. She didn’t know what it was, maybe he was possessed, but she wasn’t strong enough to stop him on her own.

She was trapped on the TARDIS, with a monster. And she was sure that the TARDIS was helping him.

The first place that she’d run too was her bedroom, and the door was locked. She was getting tired of running, but she couldn’t stop. Now she’d ended up in the library, and had hidden herself under one of the desks, trying to catch her breath.

Rose Marion Tyler. Better known as James Tyler Malloy. But how and why? Well, because this is the 1940s and in the 1940s there is a war of the world that only men are allowed to fight in. But Rose wasn’t stupid. She wasn’t going to let her gender define her and restrict her. Rose was going to fight and she knew her life would depend on it, after all, it’s a war. 

With that in mind, medical degrees in hand, Rose told her family she was joining the army as a medical assistant but what she was really doing was joining the army, not as Rose Tyler, but as James Tyler, James Tyler Malloy, that is. With that, she was enlisted. Rose left home a day early, chopping off all of her hair, binding her chest, and awaiting the day to come. 

The next day she awoke bright and early. Her chest was binded, her uniform was on, and she was packed, ready to live out her dream. Once arriving, she stepped up to her commanding officer and said in James’ voice, “James Tyler Malloy reporting for duty, sir.”

“Things are never as easy as they seem,” her handler replied with a smirk before he took a sip of his drink. “I’m absolutely positive complications will arise-they always do when it comes to SHIELD.” He chuckled. “That’s why I’m going into the field with you.” His smirk broke into a grin. “I can’t wait to see how you operate firsthand.”

   Snapping the file shut, she scowled heavily-- other people meant complications. She hated complications. She was a one-woman murder machine, not a circus act! He was acting like she was putting on a show.. Still, the asset’s obedience kicked in, no matter how much she detested the idea. “ As you wish, sir.” The word was drenched in venom, as crimson lips pulled into a cold, deadly smile. “We’ll see if you can keep up, then.”

River closed the doors to the TARDIS behind her, her long flowing dress brushing against her heels as she smiled up at the Doctor. “Hello sweetie” she greeted him, making her way up to the console, a hand slipping up her dress to pull the gun strapped to her thigh off and sit it on the console, starting to disarm herself.
