āHOW many times do I have to tell you that Iām sorry?!ā Rose asked, trying not to cry herself. She hated it when she and Clara got into an argument, but she couldnāt blame her friend, she wouldāve done the same thing had she been in the same situation.Ā
Huffing in annoyance at her own emotions threatening to spill, Rose pushed past her into the living room, Jackie in her bedroom, and sitting down heavily in the arm chair. This was all the Doctorās fault, leaving her to pick up the pieces. Would Clara believe her if she told her the truth? Probably not.Ā āIāve just been traveling.ā It wasnāt necessarily a lie, just obscuring the truth.Ā āWith a friend. I kinda went around the world, and my phone ⦠Died.ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā FRUSTRATION DWINDLED TO A STILL. Ā It boiled beneath the lakes of chocolate-brown shade, Ā an Ā ANGER Ā that would take an army to silence. She had been prepared to give Rose the benefit of the doubt when she heard of her return and her alleged time spent traveling - she Ā MUST Ā have a good reason for all of this. Now she isnāt so inclined to see the most positive side of things. Each word of Roseās is a maneuver of a gun, all leading to the last fatal pull of the trigger Ā āā Traveling. Friend. World. Died.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Clara had been her friend, Clara had told her imaginings of them earning enough money to travel when she left university - years off but the budding dreams were long settled. And on the day Rose left, Claraās world truly did die. Perhaps she would have coped all right with Rose missing, worried sick but not broken beyond repair. Losing her mother that same night however, was too much even for the becoming Ā IMPOSSIBLE GIRL.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā Ā Ā āāāāā Ā My Ā Mum Ā died. Ā Ā ā
Rose knew. Jackie had told her before Clara arrived, making Rose feel even more guilty.Ā āIām sorry,ā she said quietly,Ā āMum told me,ā she explained.Ā āI canāt even imagine how hard that mustāve been for you,Ā āspecially to go through it alone.ā What was even worse, was that Claraās mum died during the Auton attack that she and the Doctor were trying to stop.
āI promise Iāll be here more often,ā she said, biting her lip.Ā āI wish I could tell ya where Iāve been, youād love it. Remember when we were kids and weād sit on the roof lookinā up at the stars? We made up where weād go if we could? This is gonna sound crazy, but Iāve been there. To the stars, itās so amazing Clara, so magical. Just like we dreamed it would be.ā
āSTOP PETTING THE ENEMY!ā Rose screeched, glaring at the small mouse.
UNDERTALE STARTERS ā¦accepting.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā Ā Ā Ā IāmĀ not usually a big fan of them either butāā- Ā I think Ā THIS Ā oneās Ā friendly.Ā Look aā āim, heās tiny! Ā Ā Ā ā
āI donāt care, Clara, weāre not keepingĀ āim. Get rid or Iāll get a bloody mouse trap!ā
Somebody motivate me to clean my room. D:

Rose Tyler wasnāt Rose any-more. She was known only as Thorn, and lived her long life on the TARDIS with the Doctor. They both loved to wreak havoc, especially on there favourite planet ā Earth. Which was where they were now. They were planning a robbery at a large bank firm, attempting to get a rather pricey diamond which had top of the range diamond.
Thorn was the one that would go in and grab the diamond, whilst the Doctor was in charge of disrupting the security systems. In typical Mission ImpossibleĀ fashion, Thorn was suspended from the ceiling, with safety ropes attached to her waist. The diamond was directly below her, protected in its case, and she couldnāt wait to get her hands on it.Ā
Where are you?Ā She yelled at him through their bond. We donāt have long here!
āWe might have a problem.ā
His index had been mereĀ millimeters away from the last goddamn button when heād heard the cocking of a gun near the door. A human guard wouldnāt have been a problem. Any kind of guard would have been a mild problem, and some of them mightāve even had the courtesy to shoot him right away.
This was the last place this insufferable fucker should have been.
āOh, go on.ā Jack Harkness grimaced slightly as he took a step closer.Ā āDonāt mind me.ā
āLook at that, we actually have a problem.ā The Doctor quirked his eyebrows.Ā āGo back to the TARDIS. Now.ā
The bullet grazed his ear when he jumped to the side. Harkness wasnāt here to talk.
What the fuck are you talking about, Doctor? Wait, can I sense Jack Harkness? What the fuck is Jack Harkness doing here? Why is he pointing a gun to your head? Hang on ...Ā I'veĀ almost got it!
Her fingers were practically touching the diamond, and whilst she could, she grabbed it. Thatās when the alarms went off.Ā What the bloody hell? Doctor, you idiot! You said they were done!Ā Cursing loudly, Rose shoved the diamond into a protective case on her suit and pressed a button on her harness, which sent her zooming back up to the ceiling, just as the guards ran in.
Where are you now? Weāve got maybe five minutes to get out of here!
Rose let out a frustrated growl, kicking the edge of the console brutally with her foot, that caused her to swear colourfully and hop on her foot.Ā āFucking shit balls!ā She cursed, sending him a glare, and hobbling from the room. After calming down, Rose apologised to the TARDIS, before being led to her what looked like her own room.Ā āFucking brilliant.ā She groaned, collapsing on the bed.
John followed, a smile stuck on his face. Heād travel a bit to make sure she couldnāt escape, then land on a small empty planet. There, sheād be unable to leave.Ā āYouāll be fine there. Itās a nice room, isnāt it?ā he asked, smile still on his lips.Ā āBetter than the one youāll end up in if you donāt behave like a nice little girl.ā He closed the door behind him and crossed his arms over his chest.Ā
āI came in here to be alone,ā she murmured irritably, staring up at the plain ceiling, arms spread out on either side of her.Ā āDāyou know the meaning of that word? Oh, and donāt patronize me, Iām not in the mood for any of your shit, nor your empty threats, so jog on mate.ā Rose then turned on her side away from him, curling up into a ball. She must not cry.
āYou donāt know who youāre facing right now,ā Rose pointed out with a shrug, trying to keep her nerves down.Ā āI might look like your Rose, but Iām completely different.ā Her mouth dropped as he threw the Canon across the room, watching in disbelief as it smashed into pieces.Ā āYouāre actually kidnapping me?ā She scoffed, running a hand through her hair.
āYouāre pretty clever, you finally found out!ā he congratulated her with a sadistic smile stuck on his lips.Ā āIām kidnapping you, yeah. And I donāt really care what Rose you are, the only thing I know is that if youāre different, I am, too. Very different from the man you used to know indeed.ā He shrugged and turned around to direct the TARDIS.Ā āPlease make yourself at home. And this is no offer. You donāt want me to help you do that.āĀ

Hurry up, Doctor!Ā Thorn hissed vehemently through their bond. They were on a robbery spree, and she was currently attached to a harness that secured her to the ceiling of the vault. A large diamond was protected in a case directly below her, he was in charge of destroying the security systems. It isnāt much fun hanging upside down, you know!
Relax, Thorn, the Doctor replied, time and tide do wait for Time Lords, even metacrisis ones.Ā
Truth to be told, he was hurrying, but the security systems were giving even the sonic a bit of trouble. And by aĀ ābitā, he meant aĀ ālarge deadlock sealed chunkā. Still, he was brilliant, and there were always workarounds - which in this case had involved knocking out a guard and stealing his access codes. He hoped the man wouldnāt wake up before he was done - he would really hate to have to kill him. That always took time, and blood was so hard to get out of his brown coat.Ā
Oh, I donāt know,Ā he quipped, I once spent a few days upside down - space station in the 53rd century, reversed gravity⦠we should go look for one some time.Ā
Fingers flying across the console, he muttered a triumphantĀ āha!ā as he hit enter, taking down the laser grid and alarm systems that protected the case. And done!
Thorn rolled her eyes at his rambling, becoming frequently frustrated. Weāre not all like you, though,Ā she told him. Finally!Ā Thorn watched as the alarms and laser lights vanished, and carefully, she pressed a button to lower the ropes on her harness.Ā
Keep an eye out, wonāt you? I really like this outfit, and Iād hate to get blood on it.Ā Her outfit was simply a black leather jacket, jeans and boots. By now she was at the diamond, which was a few inches below. Are you sure all the securities duped?Ā She looked around, and using her black gloves, she prized the diamond off of itās stand and quickly shoved it into a velvet sack attached to her outfit.
Then the alarms went off.
YOU IDIOT! Get me out of here, now!

āGive you a way?ā Rose questioned, eyes widened. āIām the one going back there, he needs to be stopped and I need to get my family back. Iām not staying here whilst you swan off, thatās exactly what the Doctor did. Youāre turning out to be just like him!ā
āBeing like the Doctor wouldnāt be the worst thing ever.ā Jack said very calmly as he trained his eyes on her. There really was something different about Jack now. He had lost so much, and s many times.Ā āI wouldnāt put you back in that position, Rose. Youāve suffered enough. I will get your family.āĀ
āWhat am I supposed to do?ā Rose demanded.Ā āStay here and knit?! No, you dunno what heās like Jack, heās a mad man! Heās capable of doing anything to you ... I donāt want another one of your deaths to be on my shoulders. He ... Told me what I did to you, anā Iām so so sorry.ā
Rose just nodded, not knowing what to say. She now sat on the middle of the bed, legs huddled to her chest as she rested her chin on her knees. āThank you.ā She told him. āI think thatās it on the outside, but I dunno what else heās done to me. He was very fond of testing drugs to see how I reacted.ā
āIāll keep an eye on you for a few days then.ā Jack said with a small nod, running a hand over her head in that brotherly gesture.Ā āIām scanning that thing for UNIT. Iām going to see if Malcolm can give me a way to get me back to your world.āĀ

She hissed as the disinfectant was rubbed on the wounds, and when he asked about the other ones, she looked away in embarrassment. Rose then swivelled around so that her back was facing him, and hesitantly lifted the shirt, to show him old and fresh bloody whip marks, zig-zagging across her back. āIt hurts when I sit back on anything,ā she said, trying to fill in the awkward silence.
Jack glared where she couldnāt see him, glancing at the dimension canon in the process of being scanned to his left. With a deep sigh he went back to the mechanical moment of disinfecting and bandaging.Ā āGive it a few hours to heal up, okay? That spray should close it all pretty quickly.ā
Rose just nodded, not knowing what to say. He was very fond of testing drugs to see how I reacted.ā
Rose nodded in agreement, knowing there wasnāt much else to say. After a much needed shower, she was changed into a pair of Jackās pyjamas, which hung loosely off her shoulders. At first glance, she could see that his Torchwood was so much different to hers, a lot more industrial like, which she liked. She soon joined Jack in the medical room, hopping onto one of the beds with a sigh. āOkay, Iām ready to be prodded and poked.ā
Silently, almost mechanically Jack moved from the table heād been setting up to her, looking over all the minor cuts and scrapes. He ran a light disinfectant over each one, putting plaster over each.Ā āShow me whatever is worse than those.ā He said slowly.Ā āI promise Iāll be careful.āĀ

Rose wanted to burst into tears right there and then, she wanted to scream and shout, tell him no. But something always held her back. How he was able to get her to comply, sheād never know. āCould I at least get a shower first?ā She asked quietly, avoiding eye contact. āThis blood is kind of a reminder.ā
āOf course. You can shower and if thereās anything that needs tending to weāll deal with it alright?ā He asked slowly, glancing over at her.Ā āIām sorry this happened, but Iām going to make it rightā¦āĀ
Rose nodded in agreement, knowing there wasn't much else to say. After a much needed shower, she was changed into a pair of Jackās pyjamas, which hung loosely off her shoulders. She soon joined Jack in the medical room, hopping onto one of the beds with a sigh.Ā āOkay, Iām ready to be prodded and poked.ā
She didnāt want him to see her scars, so almost instantly, she back away. āNo I donāt,ā she said stubbornly. āIām perfectly fine.ā Although Rose felt as though she were about to pass out. āI just need a shower and some new clothes, thatās all. Donāt give me that look, Jack, thatās how it started with him. He said it was only tests, but it wasnāt.ā
āIām not him, Rose.ā Jack said firmly.Ā āIām not going to hurt you. Oād never hurt you.ā Even at his most angry, when he felt like Rose had ruined his life, when he felt like she had damned him for eternity, he had never wanted to hurt her. Rose was very special to hi. She always had been.Ā
Rose wanted to burst into tears right there and then, she wanted to scream and shout, tell him no. But something always held her back. How he was able to get her to comply, sheād never know.Ā āCould I at least get a shower first?ā She asked quietly, avoiding eye contact.Ā āThis blood is kind of a reminder.ā
Rose stared at him for several moments, debating, before finally nodding. āFine.ā She decided to give him the benefit of the doubt, as she was good friends with him. āIām sorry that youāre the only one left ⦠ā she told him. āIt must be hard, āspecially on your own.ā
āNot anymore.ā He said plainly, almost coldly before he shut the door. He slipped into the driverās side and buckled in before the car pulled away, heading back toward the tower, now freshly re-built.Ā āYou need medical attention. Are there any more serious wounds I canāt see?āĀ
She didnāt want him to see her scars, so almost instantly, she back away.Ā āNo I donāt,ā she said stubbornly.Ā āIām perfectly fine.ā Although Rose felt as though she were about to pass out.Ā āI just need a shower and some new clothes, thatās all. āTorchwood?ā Rose looked at him briefly in alarm. āYou work for Torchwood?ā She scoffed in surprise. āI canāt believe this. You work at the place thatās responsible for separating me and the Doctor in the first place? How could you?! The meta-crisis ended up taking over our Torchwood, and took great pride in torturing people in all kinds of ways, including me.ā
āI don;t work for Torchwood.ā Jack replied almost too harshly.Ā āI am Torchwood. Iām the only one left now.ā He sighed lightly.Ā āItās not the same Torchwood. ITās not the same anything. I donāt trture people so-ā Well, at least he didnāt anymoreā¦
āJust- come back to headquarters with me.ā
Rose stared at him for several moments, debating, before finally nodding.Ā āFine.ā She decided to give him the benefit of the doubt, as she was good friends with him.Ā āIām sorry that youāre the only one left ...Ā ā she told him.Ā āIt must be hard,Ā āspecially on your own.ā
