So I made a character based off of Toonsville by @sheep-sketch I absolutely love their art and they inspire me so much!!!  So this is Mindy, a city girl that just wants kisses and pearls. Shes a bit of a ditz but I love her anyway

2. Apparently Yonaga has two moms? It started off as a joke but I guess that’s a thing now, thanks Airi.

3. Nahoko dislikes jumpscares because she a fucking wimp but she’s also too proud to admit it and so would go into a haunted house to prove someone wrong. 

4. Momoru hated phones so much at one point, he would continuously ruin them through various and increasingly creative ways.

5. It is impossible to out-meme Mayumi. Probably.

Weeeell, since you asked...he’s kind of an asshole? Like, he tries to be all smug asshole bad boy type and then it’s just...pathetic? He’s always so angry too! Lighten up, hon, you only live once as they say overseas!

And his fashion...the less said, the better. What kind of hairstyle even is that? If you’re trying to go for some poofy odango sort of thing, try...not doing what you’re doing right now. Just. No.

Ew. Lady Luck must’ve been drunk, pairing me up with him for our project. 

Whatever, he’s fun to annoy so I guess I can forgive the poor Lady.

He hates me. Very much, actually. But he tolerates me when working, so I’m sure we’re not too bad of friends...rivals...whatever we are, right?

All of them die like this because they’re very overconfident, arrogant and full of themselves. They think the opponent has lost and they just poke the bear and insult them and act like jackasses and them BAM the turntables happen and they die. GOOD RIDDANCE HONESTLY LORD ALMIGHTY

1: Origins! How did you come up with the concept for your OC?

sizemore literally came out of my abrupt obsession with s-outhern go-thic aesthetic tbh OOPS. even though he didn’t start out very southe-rn goth-icky, it was definitely where i took most of my inspiration from. i had the idea and i roughed most of his concept while i was at work last year and went from there!! stephen king’s revival was a big influence too ngl esp on mm!nice!sizemore

yuudai on the other hand was conceived WAY BACK when aer was accepting apps, at least i think? i know i tried to app him there though. i’d had the idea of a chuunibyou wrestler for a while and i was finally going to try and implement that. the idea of a really justicey character is something im really into too so i just went from there

1. Benjiro and Akai

1: Origins! How did you come up with the concept for your OC?

For Benjiro, I can’t quite remember... I do think I was influenced somewhat by the movie Happy Gilmore but it was just the base concept of “someone who got talented at their talent via doing it as a means to calm down” sort of thing. So originally they were going to dislike their talent because it wasn’t their passion... but the more I developed, the more he ended up enjoying calligraphy as well as many other old person-esque hobbies. I had to figure out why he got into calligraphy and his other hobbies so I constructed the backstory knowing he would be shaped by his grandparents.

He was never going to be a happy character, that’s for sure. But when I compared him to Shinobu I knew I wanted a more sober and serious character so it helped to make him more serious and angry rather than comically over the top.

1: Origins! How did you come up with the concept for your OC?

Akai was originally part of a duo with Chase. I had the idea of a Host and a Matchmaker who did not get along as the Matchmaker saw the Host as someone who stole clients and broke a great many hearts. It was a good duo, but it ended up falling through. I still wanted to use Akai however so I moulded her into her own character. Originally she was designed to be somewhat creepy in nature; I wanted a very tall girl who wore an over the top cutesy mask that ended up scaring most people to just. Have a knack for pairing them up. When I drew Akai with the mask however, I couldn’t get it looking right and I found the look of her with pink eyeshadow to be really appealing. It’d be a waste if you never saw it so I had to scrap the mask part. (Though I still have the concept of it, laughs)

Since the creepy aspect was out, I had to find out new ways to make her interesting which is when I developed her speaking way of speaking with the overuse of tildes and ooey-gooey adjectives like sweetie and honey came in. I also played up her violent nature a bit though this was always a part of her backstory. I suppose that’s that.
