it's so convenient and nice when doing something for moral reasons is also incredibly practical. electronics manufacturing is evil & destructive but also used shit is just so much cheaper that it's unbelievable. i spent so long looking for a decent laptop under a grand and then i look on a used website and find a gaming laptop with an i7-7700 and a 1060 for 400 dollars

Actually, less, because although Intel stock values haven’t increased hardly at all, inflation has been out of control.
The tiny amount of stock you purchased certainly wouldn’t improve the bunch of crappy computers you’ve bought over the years.
