I want to be clear that I still don't and will never support Disney because of the BDS boycott, but I do want to give attention to the way that they're censoring and erasing trans rep in Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
This was for a character who has already shown up in the series before and is not even the only trans character in it. The artists behind this are being silenced by Disney's choice here which is not at all surprising but nonetheless disappointing.
Take this as yet another reason to refuse to give any support or aid to a company that repeatedly chooses genocide. I've seen a lot of talk about the episode but I would like people to take this as an opportunity to join in on an ongoing movement if they have not already.
If you were not aware previously, Disney is a pressure target on the BDS movement boycott list. BDS has also called to boycott Marvel as well.
BDS is a Palestinian led movement to see an end to genocide and occupation in Palestine. Per their site:
The BDS movement actively calls for pressure campaigns against these targets. This includes boycotts when reasonable alternatives exist, as well as lobbying, peaceful disruptions, and social media pressure.
With this in mind, I encourage anyone who hasn't already done so to cancel anything Disney related, not buy any of their products, no longer financially support them or any of their related media and to spread the word and make sure people are informed about them being a BDS pressure target.
Ideally this would also mean not giving them free advertising either, but even just cancelling anything you have tied to them goes a long way.
The boycotts are designed with the recognition of the scale of reach and wealth many of these companies have, so in addition take note of the others.
if even one person reading this cancels a Disney+ subscription they have and uses that to support someone in Palestine, donate to a Black, Latine, or any trans person in need right now, that's about $120 a year that made a difference for them.
If you want to support artists, we have several movements dedicated specifically to workers rights in animation and film/TV as it is that need focus as well. Their struggle shouldn't be used as a wedge to overlook genocide.
If you want to replace the media, there's piracy options in place.

Any kind of anger I feel about how they treated a TV show and the representation it holds is a mere fraction compared to anyone that supports genocide. The easiest thing you can do to make someone's difference a material reality is practice what you preach.
One of the central ideas in the narrative of the Moon Girl episode is that playing by the rules of the oppressor is a losing battle because they always change the terms. It's not about logic or fairness--it's power.
So with that in mind, the absolute least you can do is drop any subscription you may have if you have one and use those funds to support those displaced, injured, hungry, and disabled by genocide.
There are plenty of real Black, Latine, and AfroLatine trans women and girls who need resources right now that crowdfund here and on every social platform who would benefit far more from any money going toward Disney or their products.
I can't put into words how sad it is to post crowdfunds of my friends and people in need of support and only seeing them gain more traction when you share about them being dead later rather than their needs now when they're alive.
Instead of supporting Marvel or Disney, use this as an opportunity to channel your resources where it'll make more of a material difference.
Marvel’s animated comedy series to get way more attention now that someone’s trying to hide it
Here's the episode in question if you want to archive it.
a banned episode of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur Season 2
I'm trying to be as genuine as possible here--I understand the feeling people have toward this being censored especially because it's specifically a narrative centered around non-white trans people. But we can't talk about that without first recognizing Disney's complicity in genocide.
This isn't a dig at anyone else who posted either and I don't assume that everyone, especially since this is media marketed primarily at children is even aware of BDS, what they're boycotting, and why.
This is an opportunity to channel those feelings in a way that makes a difference.
(PS if you're crowdfunding feel free to hijack this post, especially Palestinians and trans people)
Ngl I'm laughing at the negative reviews that Brave New World is receiving. Boycotting really helps, y'all
This account was created almost 4 years ago with the sole purpose of supporting and appreciating the character of Sam Wilson, especially given the racist reactions and rhetoric towards him becoming the new Captain America.
For years, we were active, digging through decade old posts to find ones about Sam and share with all of you and with this fandom.
Since TFATWS came out, we had been eagerly anticipating the next mcu project featuring Sam Wilson as Captain America.
We've been saddened and enraged at every update regarding this new film. It made us no longer as active or as passionate about running this blog, despite how excited we were before.
We will not be supporting this movie, nor will we be supporting any future Marvel or Disney project.
Many will label all of us who make this decision as "racists". Let them. Supporting Palestinians and doing what we can to limit the propaganda being used against them is more important.
We ask that you please support the Palestinian call to boycott Marvel. Don't pay to watch these shows and movies. Don't publicly bring attention to them if you choose to pirate.
Please be allies to the cause.
We refuse to put entertainment above our morals and we are only disappointed in ourselves for not having researched into Marvel and Disney sooner.
Boycott!
We live in a time where entertainment (Even that which finances a war criminal) is more important than the lives of civilians…
By the way, Tara Strong is a Zionist and attacked indie animators spreading propaganda that she was fired for being Jewish, not for her racist tweet towards Palestinians…
Let's not forget about the crime of this woman, and the creator of the podcast turned off the comments (Because there was a podcast, we know that Tara Strong was making a victim out of herself, a typical Zionist), because people reacted correctly to what she said
Yes, I had to remind her about her, although the post was supposed to refer to Disney and the Olympics, I have the impression that no one talks about Tara Strong's crime anymore, and she should be remembered for being a bigot, which led to bullying indie creators…

I think that Thunderbolts is getting it's international release this week or something so this is your reminder that Marvel is under boycott. Do not go see Thunderbolts at the movies theater.

What are some ways minors can help Palestine?
My pinned post on my blog talks about just that!
But to give a summary and extra points:
minors can start blogs like this one, or post about Palestinian content on social media apps they have access too
follow Palestinian content and boost their posts
Don't engage with zionists, unless they are truly open-minded and willing to learn there is no use talking to them. It's an energy drainer and time waster
Save evidence. There are a lot of brutal images and videos coming out of Palestine and saving them for the future is essential as many of them often get taken down to cover up the brutality.
Educate yourself. Learning about the history of Palestine and how it came to be along with keeping up with the current events from trusted news sources can help you if you ever need to have strong talking points when arguing with a zionist.
Showing your solidarity. Having a watermelon badge on your bag, wearing a keffiyeh, and putting ps in your bio can help others be aware of Palestine (if you live in a place where it's dangerous to show solidarity, i suggest you skip this)
Learn about Palestinian culture. Palestinian culture is beautiful and diverse and their simple joys have been stolen from them. Don't let their culture die. Make Palestinian foods and post about it, learn their dances, their history and their religion
Boycott. Mcdonalds, Starbucks, Pizza hut, dominos, disney, hp, etc etc. You can search what the current boycott list is and avoid those items
daily clicks its free and cost absolutely no money. the money is generated through ad revenues and aid is sent to Palestinians
As someone who’s been a fan of marvel since they were literally three I’m appalled at what the MCU and Disney is doing. They could absolutely remove the character Sabra from the new Captain America movie, they are choosing not to so that they can get money from the military. There is a genocide happening against the Palestinians and yet all Marvel and the MCU cares about is how much money they’re making.
