Most have already forgotten that just months prior to the Spider-Man fallout, problems had already been brewing btw both studios with Sony pushing Disney hard to associate their Spider-verse with the MCU

[PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO] My thoughts on this issue: Outside of the Animation Industry [which is doing fine on it's own], Hollywood's Crash does seem apparentMost of the blame will most likely go towards the ignorance of the MPAA and the Hollywood-centric unions for failing to change and failure of creating original IPs while alienating audiences like Sony is doing  right now with the drama they are inflicting around the not-wanted 2016 "Ghostbusters" reboot
