check it out! 35 cents per poster, plural propaganda!
hey im sorry, whats wrong with the movie split?? not trying to be rude or anything just kinda confused
it’s yet another movie perpetuating stigmas abt mentally ill people as dangerous, violent human beings that Normal People should be afraid of. it’s especially eye-roll worthy since it’s a gross caricature of multiple personality disorder (dissociative identity disorder). seriously the tagline on the poster is “"kevin has 23 distinct personalities. the 24th is about to be unleashed"”ok writers. yeah i’m sure he has... TWENTY THREE personalities. and that the 24th one is a serial killer. right.anyways. dissociative identity disorder is trauma-based. meaning, people who have it are likely victims of abuse or trauma themselves. “The dissociative aspect is thought to be a coping mechanism -- the person literally dissociates himself from a situation or experience that's too violent, traumatic, or painful to assimilate with his conscious self.“so, to accompany the sheer laziness of making another horror movie built around a Scary Mentally Ill person, it’s painting this picture of people who are in fact victims of trauma themselves as these perpetrators of violence and abuse. and that’s not true.
in fact, mentally ill people are more likely to be the victims of violent crime than to be the perpetrators. so basically, what i’m trying to say is
#BoycottSplit
Split rant 😎👉👉 This does not go for people who dislike split, but won't argue about it and understand that people have their own opinions. Ps don't try and argue with me like a child. Just block me.

Can we like crowdfund and make a really shitty and inaccurate movie about "ThE NeuróTypîcals™ " And force them to watch trailers constantly
brian quinn is ableist
I keep getting people like "you can't know till you've watched it you don't even know what happens" "oh but they said some nice things about him" and like. My buddy my friend I know what happens in the movie. I know they said some thinfs that weren't terrible. The fact remains that they didn't communicate with any multiples and then they lied and said they couldn't find any; they ignored advice from their expert consults; they ignored a 16000+ and 19000+ petition (I signed both of them); to make their exploitative, sensationalist movie at the expense of a group of disorders. And people are like "you know it's fiction right" (obviously?) "No one actually thinks people with DID can do [x thing] you whiny marginalized person stop talking abt your oppression) and like. Do people not understand media doesn't exist in a vaccuum? I feel like in order for a grown adult of average intelligence to not realize that takes willing obfuscation of the truth for the purpose of ignoring another group's oppression. Like do people not understand that most of our representation to the general public (and most of the representation of which singlets choose to avail themselves) is bullshit like this? I s2g it's always the same excuses from singlets and they all think it's a great idea to throw in my face how much they loved it and how much money they gave to it and like. Thanks I guess? For throwing in my fave how little you listen and how few shits you give abt us? And it keeps happening and I am very uncomfortable with all of it.
