genuinely curious how other people feel about this, but i have a hard time swallowing any fiction that pairs boyd and ives together and doesn’t have a theme of either dubious or nonconsensual aspects. feels so antithetical to the entire movie to me, but i’d love to hear other people’s opinions.

EDIT, for clarity: i’m NOT saying that i only see or enjoy boyd and ives together as a fixture of rape or noncon— just that i find works that ignore the coercive actions of ives to be unrealistic and difficult to immerse myself in.
