They’d been out on the town together, spending their paychecks on things they found within the various stores within the mall. Perhaps it’d been the day in which they went, or many the various sales going on, but it’d been particularly busy that day. Even the store he just entered was busy, but it had been worth it in the end.

Digging in his back, he hadn’t expected the first thing to look at was..well, nothing. Daryl was gone, he was alone in the large crowd of people. Almost as if he were a child who lost their mother in a store, Jeffrey scans the area, but was immediately met with anxiety as his boyfriend was nowhere to be seen. Heart clenches, shakily reaching for his cellphone; but almost screaming at the hand that grabbed his, pulling him out of the crowd and somewhere else. 

Jeffrey hadn’t seen who it was, as his eyes were shut insanely tight, but when hearing Daryl’s voice do they open, introduced to the concern in his boyfriend’s tone. He tries his best not to stare down at their hands, subtly intertwining their fingers and squeezing his hand.
