Are they eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Hriob is extremely eloquent most of the time, as befitting his general level of intellect, wisdom, and vocabulary, but when given confusing or unfamiliar situations, including ones where he feels emotionally compromised or otherwise lacks composure he starts to seem less and less talkative, with larger gaps between his words. He also has been known to regularly shift his complexity of rhetoric in order to help others feel more comfortable and increase comprehension when he is trying to teach or explain something.
Do they think on their feet, or do they need time to deliberate? Hriob thinks on his feet, constantly and consistently, to a ludicrous degree in terms of speed of thought and raw processing power... However, in a sense this means he always deliberates things, and on sensitive issues he still seems to take his time to decide on a proper course of action.
What kind of education has the character had? Hriob has been educated and trained in certain areas, such as combat and culinary areas, largely by his adoptive mother’s vast years of experience. However, for the most part he is self-taught, whether by experimentation or by research through libraries or studying the works and actions of his various friends and accomplices. In areas of magic, his ability to ‘scry’ and analyze magic/energy/souls/auras has been a large part of the reason he can learn and adapt new magics so quickly through simple observation.
Are they an introvert or an extrovert? Hriob is very much an introvert, but of the variety that still loves and needs to interact with others. Its not that he dislikes talk with people, its that he needs to do it on his terms more often than not if he is to stay animated and engaged, and he can easily find talk with anyone he doesn’t want to rather emotionally and mentally exhausting, to say nothing of uneasy and uncomfortable.
How do they respond to new people or situations? Are they suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? Hriob is, deep down, a person trapped between idealistic optimism and PTSD-enforced Paranoia. He may seek out and try to be pleasant in new encounters when he can afford to and initiates on his own terms, but whenever the reverse is true he can easily become overly suspicious and cautious to near-ludicrous degrees, or alternatively very passive, timid, and secretive.
