His priorities are mostly Digimon 😂 On a more serious note though Noah and I had a very important conversation today. I told him I had to go to the make up store and buy make up. He proceeded to tell me that he thinks make up is bad and I don't need it. I told him he was right and that I don't need it. I told him it wasn't bad though and that I liked it. I told him it made me feel happy and that it's kind of like painting and art. He said he liked art and I told him mommy does too. We went to ULTA and the lady there helped my find a great highlighter in my price range. Noah was very interested in the colors and I let him pick up things and open the samplers to look at them. There was a guy there who was wearing make up and I noticed he observed him for a while. When we got in the car Noah said "that boy had make up on" and I said "yep some boys wear make up." And he said "boys don't wear make up!" And I said "yes they do! There are lots of boys who wear make up because it makes them happy like it makes mommy happy and that's okay. Everyone is different." He was quiet for a long time and when we got home he was interested in looking at my make up and I told him that there are boys who put make up on other people as a job. I showed him some Instagram pictures of boys wearing make up and men who are stylists. The point of this post is that I want to educate my child and teach him that it is okay to be different. It is okay to like things weather it's for "Boys" or "girls." I also want him to grow up with love in his heart and to not have prejudices against people. We are all human and we should respect each other no matter what our differences. That's what's most important to me as a parent. #raiseboysandgirlsthesameway #raiseboysandgirlsthesame #makeup #breakgenderroles #nothingbutlove #educate #inform #love #boymakeupartist #boymakeup
