Sky-walkers
We're back at the lake, where the warmth held in Huron's waters keeps the fall colors along the shoreline subdued. But, judging from our drive up here Sunday, which took us inland, the foliage in northern Michigan is at its peak of magnificence.
So, today we'll drive to Boyne Falls, an hour southwest of Cheboygan, to take our first stroll on the pedestrian SkyBridge, billed as "the world's longest timber-towered suspension bridge."
The bridge, which is 1,200 feet long and 118 feet high, was opened to the pulic two years ago. It spans two mountain peaks and overlooks Boyne Valley. I think we're in for some stunning views.
