Color our world
For those of us who live on the west side of the planet, today is the final day of summer. Autumn starts tomorrow - at 2:19 p.m. EDT, to be precise.
Let the quest for the peak begin!
I’m not talking mountain peaks here: I’m talking fall colors and the highly popular game of determining when and where. Considering all the factors involved - temperature, moisture, wind, inland versus Great Lakes shoreline, etc. - it’s challenging game.
Sharon and stumbled into it last October - at the Boyne Mountain Skybridge. We just happened to pick the right day in October. Sunshine made the leaves glow.
The very next day heavy wind-driven rains in northern Michigan doused the blaze. Game over.
