it feels like the term "tweemo" gets misused a lot to merely describe cutesy midwest emo with girl vocals. I DO LOVE the bands that usually get called tweemo (see: everyone asked about you) but it always feels like they're not twee enough (can anything ever be twee enough?) most of those bands are emo bands with twee influence… but what about the twee bands with emo influence?!

this song by boyracer is one of the purest examples of tweemo i know of. perhaps the only emo song on sarah records?

Under the bridge

"That's water under the bridge now": è storia vecchia. Come diremmo noi, "è acqua passata". In inglese, lo stesso modo di dire dell'italiano: una piccola metafora acquatica per parlare del tempo andato. Mi domando se questa nuova compilation si intitoli Under The Bridge proprio per alludere, con una certa ironia, al fatto che riunisce 14 band dalla lunga e, in alcuni casi, variegata carriera. Oppure, il titolo sia un'allusione al "Bristol's most famous landmark, the Clifton Suspension Bridge", il ponte che campeggiava sulla copertina della compilation There And Back Again Lane, con cui la Sarah Records si congedava dai suoi fan e chiudeva il suo catalogo, nel lontano 1995. Sia come sia, Under The Bridge, oggi, è una compilation che guarda al presente e al futuro...

This is a no-brainer purchase (for me at least).  “Positive x Infinity” compiles unreleased tracks from Mick Trouble, The Ocean Party, and Neutrals.  These three represent some of my favorite music over the past several years.

And there’s more on this - Unhappy Fly, Even As We Speak, Seablite, and Boyracer all have unreleased tracks.

This is released by Emotional Response (Stewart from Boyracer).  The label is based in Arizona.  C’mon Arizona....turn blue.
