Instead of immediately voicing a response, Castiel simply smiled at the sight of his boyfriend and hugged him back when Adam reached him. “You’re welcome,” he murmured, reaching down to take the hand the ring was on and bringing it to up to his face once the hug was broken. Bright eyes swept over the gift and Castiel felt a surge of warmth spread through him upon seeing it. “It fits, then?” The former angel pressed a soft kiss to the ring before he released Adam’s hand, an unwavering, happy smile on his face.

Adam said nothing yet, but simply pulled Castiel into a kiss. Maybe it was a little sappy, but who else was here to judge? The blonde gladly held onto Castiel tightly as his eyes fluttered closed. Though once he had pulled away then came the question. “What exactly do feathers represent? You said you would explain it.”
Still smiling, Castiel gave a happy hum as he kissed him back and slid his own arms around his waist to hold him close. Tonight, he determined, would be wonderful. He tried to, but he couldn't quite resist the urge to give a small, plaintive whine when Adam pulled away.
"Huh-- Oh. Right." It took him a minute to remember what they were doing, standing there in front of the door, but eventually Castiel remembered. And when he did, he actually blushed. "Ah-- Tr-traditionally, f-feathers are-- Are a proposal."
