Random thought but does anyone with ADHD or even autism (or some other third thing) have a thing where
In your brain, you’re fine. You’re totally “mentally relaxed” but your body is emotionally reacting??
Ex. You have an interview coming up and you KNOW about it, you KNOW it’s important (but somehow you aren’t anxious in the slightest)
But the moment you’re in the seat, in front of them, your body suddenly feet jittery and you look “nervous” even though you were literally fine 5 minutes ago in the waiting room talking to the other people.
TL;DR you ever just know that mentally you’re fine (as in you can still reason and think 💭 and you know what you’re talking about) but your body is just reacting?
Ok BIG news. I was diagnosed with High Functioning Autism along with my ADHD
When the Doctor/Evaluator was going over this, I started tearing up and laughing.
Like I KNEW I had something, I KNEW I was “different” somehow, I just didn’t know how to explain it.
And it was such a relief that my mother could hear everything straight from the doctors mouth.
“Why can’t you get along with your younger siblings but the other oldest can??”
“There you go again taking things the wrong way”
———
I wanna tell my closest friends about the results (cause I already mentioned I was taking a test).
And my mom goes “What? Why?”
Me- Because I’m really happy and I wanna share the good news
Mom- But do you hear *insert another autistic person but higher on the spectrum* telling everybody he’s autistic?
Me- so are you seriously gonna start comparing me to him?
*insert the ‘there ya go again taking things the wrong way’ *
Not to mention she said that and my autistic friend were “yin and yang” earlier..... -.-
Whatever I’m in a happy mood! Not gonna let her comments bring down my happiness of getting diagnosed!!!
I’m so mad right now. It’s summer and every single room in my house has a couple of flies in it...... and my younger siblings don’t EVER clean and yet they can have sleepovers whenever they want.....
