Organized Chaos | Payton & Open
Since school broke for a week to celebrate Ernaynia day Payton had decided to dedicate that time to helping Melody out with the kids arts and crafts stall, mingling with children from the centre and those who just lived in the city. She was twirling about in a floral dress that was already smudged with paint and glitter- not that she minded, it was an old dress- and helping the children finger paint and glue sticks together and basically anything else their little minds could conjure up. Payton paused for a moment to take in the scene, their happy faces and the shining sun, how blessed she felt to be someone that got to enrich the lives of the kids this way. How very angelic it all made her look.
It wasn’t long before she was needed again, helping a young girl squeeze some red paint out of the tube and in the process finding herself with a bright purple splotch in her hair, curtsy of the girls mischievous brother. Payton considered scolding the kid, but the gaze of an onlooker caught her attention instead “It’s a lot more organized than it looks” she promises with a laugh, her new hair do forgotten “wanna join in?” despite this spectator being an adult Payton saw no reason not to invite them into the fun, she was having a blast herself.
What Is Ermaynia Day | Eren x Open
She definitely hadn’t been here long enough for this. She didn’t know anything about the country, she definitely didn’t have anything in common with any of the people she’d already met. With nothing else to do, she’d agreed to help out at the Homeless shelter, handing out leaflets and first hand experience on the housing situation in Ermaynia.. as if she knew anything about that.
Over twenty people had already asked her questions and proceeded to put money in the bucket, and she was currently trying to explain the rooming situation to someone.. they seemed a little too interested. “Yeah, you get like three other people to share with. If you’re lucky, they’re clean. Because one bathroom between for people.. well, that’s why we’re asking for money. To make the living situations better.. No, no I don’t work there. I live there.”
