Serious Shit | Panda x Open
“Shit.” Pandora breathed, looking down at her phone. She hadn’t heard from Aaliyah in a while and she knew that something had been happening at the castle, but she’d never realized it was so bad. Lliyah figured that a vague ‘don’t come to the castle’ text was adequate but Panda had other ideas and had contacted one of the other people living up there.
She heard a quiet ‘what’s wrong’ from behind her and turned around to see the person sitting behind her. She realized now that the bus wasn’t the best place for this.
“Rude much?” The Angel huffed them off and went back to reading the texts on their phone.
The Price I Pay || Hannele & Open
So that was how she had ended up now: Polite, professional and entirely civilized doctor by day, and at night nursing glasses of alcohol in company in an attempt to keep the instincts from days not that long past away. But sometimes the instincts still broke through, and Hannele found that she no longer could keep them at bay. She was made to smell blood from far away, fast and agile; she who now spent so much of her days telling others about what their biology did to them - how could she have entirely ignored her own?
So that was the reason why Hannele had made Dorsten with its mainly empty forests her homestead, why, after dusk she didn’t go home like she maybe should have pretended she had to, why instead she set foot into the dark forest and started listening for animal sounds, enjoyed the way her feet carried her with a pace that far outmatched that of any deer, walked until she could hear the animals close by in a clearing, and then crouched at its edge waiting for the best moment. Yes, animal blood tasted a lot worse than the blood she could now so easily purchase. But truth be told, the hunt was part of it all.
She had pictured herself running into someone else on the hunts she too often engaged in, had figured she could just downplay the moment, but when she heard what unmistakeably were footsteps, the calmth she had planned on was gone, and what was left was anxiety. Hannele rose to her feet and shouted into the dark forest: “Who are you? Come out, I know you’re there!”
Day 2 | Dionne x Open
After spending all day at the Castle yesterday, Dee had been assigned to the case which made her very happy. She loved being right in the action and with the amount of work she’d already done, she would be making her way up to captain in no time. She wanted to be taken seriously, not that being deputy wasn’t serious enough for her, but she just felt like it wasn’t enough. She had so many ideas for where her life was going. They all involved being on top.
But as for now, she’d been told to take a break and spend a few hours in the city, mking sure that everything that had happened was being kept under wraps. She was fine doing so, but that didn’t stop her from taking some of the case files of witness reports and going through them. She chose a small window table in a cafe just off Main St, sitting there with her coffee.
She had only been in there for a few minutes when she heard an unfamiliar voice asking what she was doing. The brunette looked up, an unimpressed look on her face. “I don’t think that’s any of your business, do you?” She promptly shut the file in front of her, resting her hands on it.
Shaking | Maya x Open
Maya was shaking, her breath heaving in and out of lungs as she stumbled down the grassy bank, letting her legs give way and dropping the rucksack Lucille had given her. There were twigs in the grassy and they jabbed into her stomach as she let the weight of her body tumble her down, but it felt so good. There was fresh hair here, no bars and no walls to confine her.
The Hunter laid at the bottom of the hill, catching her breath and letting her thoughts settle for a moment before sitting up. That woman had given her a pack with what she’d need; clothes, money... the only thing that she planned to keep from those dirty cells was the phone that stranger Karin had given to her. She pulled herself up and grabbed the pack, dragging it over to her and opened it up. The clothes were all black, and there were no shoes. She supposed that she’d have to keep the boots she had on already.
It took moments for her to completely change, even with her body trembling the way it was. When she was done she just kicked the bag into the ditch, pushing the phone and money into her back pocket and looking around to check that nobody was around. She couldn’t see anyone and went on her way, eventually finding the road side.
There didn’t seem to be anyone around, but that didn’t last long. A pair of headlights approached and she ducked quickly into the treeline, expecting them to drive right past, but when they didn’t she got worried, watching the driver pull over and get out of the car.
Shit | Dionne x Open
“You can’t be here, you need to get inside and to one of the check points.”
Run|LucillexOpen
Lucille could have tried to escape the castle by wearing her working uniform, but she was sick and tired of pretending to be someone she was not. While she was a Merfolk Hunter, she didn’t like any of the Supernatural creatures and the world would be better off without them. So why try to escape them if you could fight them?
As she ran down the corridor towards the door someone stepped into it which made her stop. “ Oh, hello Dearie.” she said with a cold smile and pulled out a dagger. “ You know what? Tonight is a good night. I’ll give you a headstart. I’ll count down from 5 ok? 5...”
“Goodness gracious, I’m so sorry for bumping into you like that. My head’s still in the ocean, apparently.”
