I don’t recognize any of the names on the employee schedule and I think this is the first email I’ve received that is intended for someone in New Mexico.

Just found out that a year ago the same donation center (BPL Plasma in Stillwater) Told a Transman that he couldn’t donate blood either...even though the doctor CLEARED HIM

So I’m a little pissed...
Let me start off by saying I have not had sex with my boyfriend for over a year (sorry beardedquartz) Today I went in to my local plasma donation center wanting to donate plasma and I was told that because I had had sex with a man since 1977 I was not allowed to give... BUT the FDA lifted the ban on gay blood given that it had been over a year since having your last sexual experience...I followed all the rules so WHY CAN’T I DONATE? I don’t want to be that person, but this just feels like prejudice, especially if you are going to test the blood anyway...Is my life saving plasma not good enough for people?
