Thinking About the Future || (Future) Javier

Xavier thought over his conversation with his daughter, and he had not a single clue how he was going to bring it up to Lynnie. How did one broach the topic of marriage, joint adoption and the future. He hadn't even proposed yet, wasn't really sure if the two were ready to plan a wedding as they tried to focus on getting their careers up and running and kids...well, they certainly hadn't talked about kids. There were so many things that went into that particular discussion. He wasn't even sure where he stood on having more kids, but when his daughter felt insecure and she worried about whether she would be loved, if another child came into the picture, he had to bite the bullet and speak up.

He walked upstairs to the bedroom he shared with his long time girlfriend, and stood in the doorway waiting to catch her eye. The woman was beautiful and there wasn't a single day that passed that he wasn't thanking God that he'd met her. He was absolutely sure that she wouldn't love his daughter any less, but in this situation, he wanted to make sure that she knew that she was just as much Josie's parent as he and Tam were, along with talking to her about Josie's concerns. For lack of a better way to start, he pushed off the wall and walked further into the bedroom, closing the door behind him. "I'm going to marry you someday." Stripping out of his shirt, he climbed into bed with Lynnie. "And I had this really interesting conversation with our daughter tonight about just that. It lead somewhere that I never thought it'd go. Before we talk about it though, kisses please? Otherwise I'm going to be thinking about kissing you while trying to have a very serious conversation." Wrapping his arms around her, he placed a few light kisses on her lips. "I love you," he told her.

Phone Call - Future Week

[Hears her phone ringing, picks it up though she doesn't recognize the number.]

Cass: Hello?

Rep: Hello, is this Cassidy Ryan?

Cass: This is she, yes.

Rep: Ms. Ryan, my name is Angela, I'm a rep with MTV/ Viacom.

[Cassidy nods on the other end, a little confused as to why she's getting this call, ready to tell them she doesn't want what they're selling.]

Rep: We were given your number and your resume on recommendation from someone, and we were calling because we've considered you as a candidate for one of our sound technicians for this years MTV Video Music Awards.

[Stunned for a moment, trying to find the words.]

Cass: So, I would be running sound for the actual awards?

Rep: Yes, that's what we were calling for, to see if it was something you would be interested in. Your name came highly recommended to us, and we enjoyed your resume.

Cass: I... yes, of course it's something I would be interested in. I would love to do sound for an event like that.

Rep: Oh great! So I will forward that information along that you'll be joining us on our team this year. I'll also be emailing you a list of things, as well as itinerary for when there will be run throughs, locations and all of that logistics stuff. If I can just confirm your email is [email protected]?

Cass: Great, that sounds perfect. And yes, that's my current emai.

Rep: Perfect then. Ms. Ryan, we'll be in touch with you and welcome aboard to the production team for this years MTV VMAs. We're excited to have you.

Cass: Thank you so much. I'm excited to join you.

Rep: Not a problem, you have a good rest of your day Ms. Ryan.

Cass: I will, thank you.

[Hangs up.]

Ha, see that might confuse other folks, but I’m right there with you. What’d you watch? Your cuddle bear misses his cuddle bunny and those bunny kisses she likes to give. I’m not far, baby, I’ll be home soon. Because, my face knew your face missed mine and your face sent mine the missing you signal all the way in studio city and now my face is missing yours something fierce.

Some of ‘em we did over to get the timing down right. Baby, you know he’s not really hurting me. I mean every once in a while a real punch might slip but it’s okay. I’m always fine. If it’s really dangerous stuff, I’ll used the stunt double. Promise.

I'm so tired, but we baked you yummy treats! Aka you heard the 'I miss my Captain Arrow' pout and 'I need him real bad' lip quiver? Cause, yeah, I did do all of those just now. You're so silly.

Oh, okay. To get the timing right. I thought it was because of me from the other day. I tried to apologize, but then they did like a million more takes of that scene again. Um, I'm pretty sure I heard some real blows in there and I was not a happy camper. And I know it's fake, Josie told me over and over again, on the car ride to and from the place. So I get it, but it still looks bad to me. I hate seeing you hurt, real or not. I can't help it. You better, Mr. I Want To Do Almost All Of My Stunts.

You silly man. Nothing. Missing you, missing me, missing you. Ha! No really, Josie and I were watching some movies and the little stinker fell asleep. I’m tired and I need my cuddle bear to take me to bed. How does your face miss my face when my face misses your face? 

How was filming today? Did you have to retake those scenes? The one with all the hitting and stuff? I don’t like those.

Now you’re just fluffing my ego. However, you as a model, that’s far more believable. Been here for a few months, got a job with Ford so sadly I’ve got no plans to switch coasts soon. California, be jealous I get to be near the beach all the time now. If you made it, it has no choice but to be good.
