Beveridge Place Pub, Casks, and 18lbs of Glory
There’s an undeniable energy that takes over Beveridge Place Pub during Cask-O-Rama. It’s a West Seattle tradition that turns a standard pub session into an exploration of texture and depth. We dropped in to catch the tail end of the event, finding ourselves a spot with power to plug in our laptops and grind through some final business documents for the night.
Georgetown Brewing 18lb Armagnac Imperial Porter
You can’t just walk into a cask event and order something "easy". After sampling a few of the casks, we went straight for Georgetown Brewing 18lb Armagnac Imperial Porter for a full pour. This isn't just a craft beer; it’s a liquid velvet punch. And believe me, we were impressed by this near perfect porter with a massive malt profile and the sophisticated Armagnac influence.
Tasting Notes & Score for the 18lb Armagnac
Deep oak, dark fruit, and a finish that lingers like a good conversation. This is elite-level brewing. It’s rich, it’s complex, and it’s dangerous for how smooth it goes down.
We gave the 18lb Armagnac Imperial Porter by Georgetown Brewing an almost perfect 4.75 Caps on Untappd and will look for this one in the future as it is a "must have" craft beer for the Wee Savor list.
Beveridge Place Pub is a Great Place to Work and Play
Beveridge Place Pub has always had that perfect "get things done" vibe in the early evening. For the Cask-O-Rama, it was humming with that warm community energy that only a true neighborhood pub can provide. We had our laptops open, but our eyes kept drifting to the room around us, the wood accents, and the cozy atmosphere that makes this spot a place that feels like a warm study at home rather than a pub in West Seattle.
Locking In and Closing Out the Cask-O-Rama at Beveridge Place Pub
Brady and I were locked in, working to finish up the week and it hit me how nice it was to have the ability to do so in this place with the foosball table, game room, and the Mariner's on the TV in the background. It’s a mood we know well: the intersection of the professional hustle and the reward of a world-class pour. When you’re signing off on business documents, you want something substantial in your hand. The 18lb Armagnac from Georgetown Brewing was exactly the partner we needed for the task.
Georgetown Brewing continues to prove why they are local royalty. This porter is a triumph, bold enough to stand up to a long night of work, but nuanced enough to demand your full attention with every sip.
If you missed Cask-O-Rama this time around, it's okay, there is always something to try at the Beveridge Place Pub. It’s one of those essential West Seattle experiences that reminds you why we love this craft community so much. And once the documents are completed, you can sit back and enjoy a memorable porter and bask in a night of success.
WeeBeers Cheers!
