Chicago legend's born day ⭐
W7 BPS vs W7M Crips — Detroit’s Black P. Stones (BPSN)
The Black P. Stone Nation (BPSN) on Detroit’s west side descends from Chicago’s People Nation movement and the El Rukn organization, with local overlap from L.A.’s Jungle Stone Bloods. Their territory has long centered around West Seven Mile and Telegraph (7ELE / O7B) within the 48219 ZIP, extending into the Rouge corridor.
BPSN’s Detroit faction built a reputation for militant symbolism and Islamic imagery, marking walls with the star-and-crescent and five-point motifs. These tags once covered sections of Seven Mile bridges and corners near the River Rouge—visual claims to a network stretching back to Chicago’s South Side.
In recent years, the Detroit News has cited BPSN as one of the main “rivals” (not really, these ‘Crips’ are just tag bangers) of the W7M ScoreGang Crips (83GC/ETGC/SCRG), particularly in the Five Points area. The conflict, however, plays out mostly through graffiti warfare, not direct violence. 5Point Nation (5PN) and its Crip-aligned subsets—especially ScoreGang (SCRG)—have overtaken many former BPSN walls, signaling a quiet shift in territorial dominance.
Today, BPSN’s local activity appears minimal but not erased. Their markings remain visible in pockets of the west side, serving as historic traces of a once-formidable set within Detroit’s evolving street map.
