My new bikini arrived. The shorts are too small, but the top is great.

The only thing that bugs me is: why dafuc do I have to pay €102 just to have a decent somewhat cute bikini? My friends (who range A-C) can walk into any store and not only be sure that a bra fits that, but also that they don't have to more than +- €40.

Why, once you go above a certain cup, do the princes quadruple? I don't want to hear the "it's more fabric!!!" excuse anymore. It's less fabric than a pair of jeans, which I can get for €20.

The industry's bias against any cup over C it's staggering and honestly it's their loss. If bikinis were affordable I would buy one every two years, instead of wearing mine till it's barely still hanging together.

I ordered new sports bras and the provided padding is too small. I took it out and tried to see if I could order bigger inserts and I found almost nothing. Everything seemed too small. I found one small business that has sizes up to a 1x for $20+ a pair. I just got them today and they're decent but I still wish they were bigger? I think next time I'm going to purchase a regular bra in my cup size and cut the padding out. Walmart has bras for $6 right now. I just don't dont understand why I can order a 4x sports bra and only get xl padding??? It looks ridiculous and its why I take the padding out 99% of the time and just go without.

I could never be a bra model, not bc I'm human-shaped and they only use flat tummied C cups with big hips for plus sized models, but bc I would expose the industry for the shit quality and sizing they really sell. "Look at me bounce in this elastic sports bra! I don't move!" YEAH JANET THAT'S BECAUSE YOU'RE A FUCKING B CUP YOU DON'T BOUNCE BARE

Hey y'all! Here’s a brief interruption of my normal posts. I’m doing my senior thesis research project on bras, the bra industry, and the culture surrounding bras. I want to know how REAL people interact with bras and the bra industry, so I made a survey!  It would mean the world to me if you took a few minutes out of your day to fill it out. Your responses are 100% anonymous and confidential, unless you choose to mention your name at any point during the survey if you are interesting in potentially having your response mentioned in my final paper. The survey includes multiple questions about your identity and your experiences and opinions surrounding bras and the bra industry. Anyone can take it (all ages, genders, races, abilities, etc), although those who wear bras or feel pressured to wear bras are especially encouraged to participate. It it is quite thorough but it only took me about 12 minutes to complete when I tried it out. and now i want to rant about the bra industry once more.

i miss the 90ies where it wasn’t common to put your collection of pillows into bras. to have your breasts armoured like going into a battle. where the use of bras was still just to hold your breasts safely.

and for 10 years it has been already so super super tricky to find just simple plain wired bras without extra or ubersuperextra stuffing.
