series masterlist! - previous chapter ➝ chapter three
“I just got off the phone with abby,” you sigh, walking into the kitchen where ellie was sorting through bills that came in the mail, her back pressed up against the counter. “and?” ellie says, her eyes glued to the paper in her hands. “and...we talked it out and I forgive her. listen, I really wanna make this friend thing work. for me and celia.” you lean against the wall and wait for ellie’s response. still, she does nothing but give you an unimpressed look.
“it seems like to me you’re doing this more for yourself and just using celia as a pawn,” she mumbles as she quickly goes back to sifting through the mail. “are you serious? ellie, this is a married woman of five years for crying out loud, what is your deal?”
“my deal? my deal is the fact you aren't heeding my fucking warning, y/n.” she slams the mail onto the counter, making you jump slightly. “ellie for the last time, this is a married wom–” ellie’s words cut through your own, “you’re also a married woman!” ellie shouts, her voice echoing through the kitchen. the entire house falls silent for a moment.
you push yourself off the wall and turn to leave the kitchen, “hope you got everything out, ellie. don’t forget to pick celia up tomorrow. don’t have her waiting.” you mutter and walk away, her body frozen in place as she processes her actions.
ellie pulls into the parking lot and puts the car in park with a sigh. she places her hands on her thighs, overthinking all of her words and decisions that led up to this point. “everything’s fine,” she says, trying to soothe her nerves. ellie gets out of the car and stands in front of the school just as the bell rings and a handful of kids begin to rush out. as she's searching for celia to run out, she sees a tall figure in her peripheral. she turns to her right, and there she is.
abby.
ellie doesn't approach her immediately. she hesitates, feeling intimidated, and a surge of jealousy rushes through her. ellie takes a deep breath. building up the courage to confront this woman who wanted her wife. just as ellie turned towards abby’s direction, she heard a familiar voice call out to her. “mommy!” celia runs up to her, wrapping her arms around her. “hey, honey..uh, give me a second and stay here. mommy has to take care of something,” ellie says, completely fixed on abby, who wasn’t even aware of her presence yet.
before she can even take a step forward, celia suddenly runs towards abby. “miss abby! audrey!” she shouts cheerfully. ellie can feel her eye twitch. abby looks down and smiles at the brown eyed little girl running at her, “hey, celia, where’s your mom?” she scans the area for a minute, looking for your face, until she sees a familiar face. one that she’s seen in your house. ellie walks over, crossing her arms with a slight frown.
“I’m sorry about the whole situation with your wife. I really didn’t mean any harm.” abby rubs the back of her neck, her eyes avoiding ellie’s. “I‘ll back off if you want, I just don’t wanna cause any more problems..” she puts her hands up as if surrendering. ellie is now conflicted. she was supposed to be mad at this devilishly attractive woman for trying to steal her wife, but now, she realizes that she might be horribly wrong. “there’s no need for that. what happened was in the past, and I would like celia and audrey to continue their playdates.”
abby finally looks at her, her mouth opening to say something, yet a word fails to come out. “I’ll see you around, have a good day. come on, celia.” ellie puts a hand on celia’s shoulder and turns around, only stopping once they both reach the car.
ellie pulls off, giving abby one last wave as she does. ellie feels like absolute shit. how could she have been so wrong? is she just a jealous control freak? that abby woman has to be putting up an act. there’s no way she was the bad guy in this. ellie basically overthinks the entire way home, and the moment she pulls into the driveway, she sees you outside by the front door. she and celia get out of the car with very different expressions, but before you can even ask about hers, celia gets to you first. you lead celia inside with a smile and come back out a few minutes later to speak with ellie. “well, I met abby and I have to admit..she’s charming as hell.” she sighs, leaning against the car as she rolls her shoulders.
“I'm sorry. I was an asshole. forgive me?” you look at ellie with the same unimpressed look she gave you the day before and hold your hand out. “keys,” you say monotonously. ellie frowns at this, placing the keys into the palm of your hand. “we’ll talk later. I’m going to the store.” you go around to the driver's seat and pull off, leaving ellie standing in front of the garage door.
“this stupid store never has anything I want,” you mumble. you’ve been in the same aisle for 10 minutes looking for a specific brand, which seemed impossible to find. just as you're about to switch aisles, you bump into a woman. “oh! I’m so sorry!” you pick up the woman’s bag that fell from her hand and hand it back to her, feeling embarrassed by not watching where you were going. you spot the ring on her finger while doing so, something about it being oddly familiar. the woman doesn’t say anything back to you when you give her the bag back, but she does give you a judgmental once-over.
after another minute of silence and having an incredibly awkward staring contest, she finally speaks, “it’s okay..have the day you deserve.” she smiles condescendingly and walks off. “okay, wow.” you blow out your cheeks, shaking your head in annoyance. “a thank you would’ve sufficed.” you pick up the last few things you need and go to the front to pay.
☆
“I'm back!” you shout, kicking off your shoes and heading to the kitchen immediately. ellie rushes over from the living room to greet you, a dorkish smile on her face, “hey, bought you a little something,” ellie says as she pulls out a bouquet of roses from behind her back. “surprise! I'm sorry again, babe. I mean it. I’ll even take you to that super fancy italian restaurant to prove it.” you tilt your head and smile, “thank you, honey, these are beautiful, and I accept the offer. also, I'm getting drinks with abby on sunday.” ellie gulps harshly, swallowing her words and giving you a forced smile. “..wow that's..great babe! hope it goes well,” she places the flowers on the counter, her voice clearly hinting at agitation.
“oh yeah. there was this rude ass lady in the store who looked at me like I stole money from her. she seemed so familiar though, I don't know where I've seen her.” you freeze for a moment to dig deep in your brain and fish out an answer. yet, your mind was completely blank. “should've hit her with the basket.” ellie laughs, but you don't. “her ring.” a look of realization appears on your face. ellie looks at you, confused, “what about her ring?” ellie watches your face intently as you make eye contact with her.

tuesday, september 30th. 11:40 pm.
“what the hell are you doing?” ellie stands behind you while you scroll through abby’s instagram, which was annoyingly empty, to look for a clearer picture of her hand. “I’m trying to see if I’m right,” you huff, sifting through her three highlights and swiping through the few posts she had up. “ugh, four of these are from 2016; the rest don’t show her hand properly!”
ellie only sighs, her hands on her hips as you slump down into the couch, accepting defeat. “did you check her facebook?” she pinches the bridge of her nose, seemingly pissed at herself for feeding into your shenanigans. you pause, sitting up and grabbing your phone again. “I’m sorry, what is the purpose of this, y/n?” ellie leans forward to look at your phone, watching you scroll through abby’s facebook photos.
“I think the woman I ran into at the supermarket was abby’s wife.” you keep scrolling and stop at a specific picture of her and a woman at a bar. but it wasn’t the woman you saw at the store, at least you didn’t think it was. the woman in the store was brunette yet in the photo she was blonde. but anyone could just dye their hair. you went to swipe out the photo to keep searching until you saw a tagged name.
juliette brooke.
juliette. abby said her wife’s name was juliette. still, you were skeptical, but all doubt faded once the cover photo appeared. it was a professionally shot family picture of her, abby, and audrey. bingo. abby was standing behind her with her hand on her shoulder, while juliette’s hands rested in her lap. she and abby weren’t smiling, except for audrey. without her, the photo would seem quite dull. “what a happy family,” ellie laughs dryly. “probably why she wants my wife so bad.” you turn your head sharply to look at her. “ellie! stop it!” you say, zooming in on her hands and noticing her pale pink nails shining alongside the same diamond ring you saw in the store.
“they look like they're being held at gunpoint.” you study the photo for a few more seconds before swiping out and setting your phone aside. “easiest detective work of my life,” you yawn. ellie looks down at you for a moment, and silence falls in the room as she does. you gaze up at her, unsure if she’s admiring you or choosing to stay silent.
“what’s wrong?” you ask, placing your hand behind your head. “I don’t want you to get too drunk when you go out with abby, okay?” you snort. however, she frowns and sighs instead, “I’m serious. I still don’t trust her, and after seeing how unhappy she looks…” you sit up and peck her lips, brushing a loose hair behind her ear. “ellie, one picture doesn’t define their entire relationship. don’t worry.”
ellie smiles slightly at your reassurance, but you can tell it’s still bothering her. “I won’t drink too much. I’ll make sure to call a cab.” you give her one more kiss on the lips, her pretty green eyes staring back at you as you pull away. “I love you,” you smile, “I love you.” ellie reciprocates the look. the room falls silent again, but only momentarily, “okay, now help me get up. my legs fell asleep.” she giggles and comes around the couch to pull you up so you two can get upstairs to call it a night.
sunday, october 5th. 9:15 pm.
“celia, come here!” you can hear ellie shout from upstairs. you were already dressed and sitting in the living room, fixing the straps on your heels as you waited for the uber to arrive. “celia, baby, it’s time for bed!” you shout from downstairs. it felt weird going out after such a long time. you always used to go out and party in your early twenties, but now that you’re a mom and married, it feels awkward. just because you’re older and have a family doesn’t mean you can’t have fun now, right? it’s just having a drink with a friend anyway. no biggie.
“woah,” you turn around and see ellie walking towards you to get a better look at your outfit. “stand up for me?” you giggle, then stand up as she reaches for your hand and spins you around. “goddamn...how far is the cab?” she asks, wrapping an arm around your waist. “five minutes away, why?” you reply with a sly smile. “tell them to hurry because if you stay any longer, I’ll have to—” celia interrupts, “can you read me a bedtime story?” you both turn to look at her at the bottom of the stairs, holding a dr. seuss book. “that’s your cue...” you say, giving her a quick kiss. “I won’t be home late. there’s food in the fridge, and don’t let her trick you into reading another book. I’ll see you later!” ellie sighs as she releases you, visibly disappointed that you’re leaving her looking so good.
☆
you find yourself downtown, where nearly every corner is lined with bustling bars or glowing neon signs pointing to strip joints. the air is thick with the scent of alcohol and cannabis, and the crowds spilling out of clubs make you realize how much you’ve been missing out on. as you step inside club karma, you awkwardly scan the dimly lit room for abby. you weave through groups of strangers to reach the bar, spotting an empty stool near the edge of the brown wooden counter and settle onto it, a sudden pang of anxiety hitting you. it could’ve just been your nerves about embarrassing yourself after a few too many drinks, but deep down, you knew it was much more than that. as you’re deep in thought, a voice snaps you right back into reality: "hey!" turning to your right, you see abby. she slides into the seat next to you. “you look...good. have you gotten a drink yet?" abby says, being careful with her words.
you didn’t realize it at first, but she seemed very different from when you first met. it wasn't just her appearance; it was something in her demeanor that had shifted. but that wasn’t what truly caught your attention. it was that her hair was down and out of its usual braid. abby’s cologne smelled seductive, as if she was deliberately trying to lure and trap you. maybe you pretended not to notice how toned and muscular she was, but now you couldn’t ignore it. her snug, short-sleeved shirt clung to her body, accentuating her built arms and shoulders. everything about her seemed more relaxed and free. “no, I haven’t gotten anything yet. I was actually waiting for you,” you said softly, turning to face her. “you look better with your hair down; it suits you more.” abby didn’t say anything but gave you a look—one you couldn’t decipher.
“anyway,” abby waves at one of the bartenders. "hey nicole, can I get a vodka cranberry and a mojito? my tab, please.” nicole nods in acknowledgment and starts making the drinks. abby shifts her focus back to you, your eyes already locked on her. “you remembered?” you prop your chin up on your palm, watching as she titters nervously, her face subtly reddening. “that’s what friends are for, right?” abby then redirects her attention to nicole, suddenly intrigued by her making a simple mojito. “so, abby...who’s this?” nicole asks while placing your drink in front of you. “she’s a friend. got really sick of being in the house again, and I haven’t been here in a while.” abby exhaled and takes a swig of her drink. “juliette out of town again?” your ears almost perk up at the name. does this still count as eavesdropping if you’re only inches away?
“uh yeah...she just left again yesterday, actually. she’s been out of town a lot lately,” abby says, staring deeply into the cup as if she’s trying to make sense of something. you notice a shift in abby's demeanor at the mention of her wife—the way her shoulders tense momentarily and her voice drops into a melancholic tone. “y’know, abby, you never told me what your wife does for work,” you remark. “she’s an event planner,” she replies, then adds with a smirk, “although I’m starting to think she’s got a secret second job.” she laughs, trying to lighten to mood. nicole grins and chimes in, “I’m telling you, abby, that woman’s quite the trickster.” abby remains silent, taking another slow, deliberate sip from her cup. “enough with the wife talk. I came here to drink and not worry about her,” abby says, setting the cup down and looking at you.
“are you okay with whiskey?”
☆
after too many shots of whiskey and tequila, you and abby found yourselves absolutely hammered, laughing uncontrollably at everything around you. “for someone who claims to handle their liquor well, you're not doing a very good job at it!” you tease, resting your head lightly on her shoulder. the two of you were seated in an empty booth at the corner of the club, pink and purple lights flashing over both of you. “hey, don’t judge me—you were gone after like three shots," abby laughs along with you, finishing off another shot of whiskey. she gulps nervously before adding, “my wife would kill me if she saw how drunk I am right now,” her voice slightly slurred but coherent. “I think I ran into your wife the other day,” you say hesitantly, “I don't think she likes me very much.” abby clenches her jaw, falling awfully silent.
“after the failed play date, I finally mustered up the courage to tell her about you.” abby finally speaks up, “she got mad, went through my phone, and then she just...” she pauses, taking a deep breath before confiding, “I think my wife is cheating on me.” you lift your head from her shoulder, your eyes searching hers, “wait woah..what? do you have any proof?” you ask with genuine concern. she shakes her head slowly. “no, but her prolonged ‘work trips’ are making me suspicious. we haven't been happy for a long time, but I want to make it work for audrey’s sake.” she runs her fingers through her hair, setting the shot glass onto the battered wooden table with a clink. “fuck..” you can hear the unease in her voice as she abruptly stands up to make her way over to the bathroom at the far side of the club. you debate on following abby and eventually you got up to go comfort her.
you didn't anticipate the night unfolding like this, nor did you expect to get so drunk. you knew you weren’t supposed to drink that much, but you couldn’t help it. you were trying to keep up with abby and ended up biting off more than you could chew. all you knew was that right now, you needed to see that she had a friend in you. when you finally slipped into the bathroom, you found abby leaning on one of the sinks. “abby?” you call out, and she turns to look at you, her face etched with regret. “this whole drinking thing was...a mistake,” abby murmurs. you step closer, frowning despite your gentle tone. “don’t say that...we were having so much fun,” you reply, trying to comfort her. “you’re my friend, abby. you don’t need to be embarrassed.” she nodded quietly, a small smile flickering. “would’ve been better if we weren’t so drunk,” abby said with a laugh. you were laughing with her until you glanced up and really took her in.
abby was still leaned up against the sink, her tall, muscular frame making you question your self-respect in ways you never thought were possible. it felt wrong to be shamelessly checking her out, but god, she looked so good. the low, warm glow of the bathroom's dim lighting hit her face perfectly. it wasn’t just the light though. it was abby herself. by the time that you looked back up at her face, she was already staring at you, a certain grin spreading across her lips, as if she knew exactly what you were thinking.
“you’re staring,” abby moves closer to you, “your lipgloss is smudged, by the way. I’ll fix it.” she gently grabs your chin and slowly swipes her thumb over the side of your lip, her hand under your chin just a second too long. your eyes glance down at her lips, gulping hard at the tension that was building. your faces were just mere inches apart, and her hand had somehow found its way to your waist. you froze, feeling the conflict, knowing deep down that it was wrong—just as ellie had said all along. “abby, you’re drunk..” you put your hand on her chest to push her away. but she grabs your hand, her grip firm yet gentle. “so are you..but you’ve been staring at me the whole night.” she brings your hand up to her lips and presses a lingering kiss onto your knuckles. “I may be drunk, but I’m not crazy,” abby smirks at the look on your face, clearly amused by your hesitation. you couldn't do this to ellie though.
“I can't... this just isn't right,” you mutter, your voice filled with uncertainty, but abby remains undeterred, a subtle smile playing on her lips. “what she doesn't know won't hurt her,” she whispers, leaving a delicate trail of kisses from your knuckles up to your wrist. “your wife...you’d be just like her,” this causes abby to halt abruptly, her eyes narrowing slightly as she takes a sharp, measured breath before replying, “then we’d be equal.” abby seems to like your reluctance—either because she knows you'll give in or because she senses it's faux. you didn't stop her from kissing your hand nor did you move her hand away from your waist. “I don’t believe you…because you still have yet to move my hand off your waist..” she laughs, but you don't say anything. you could’ve pushed her off of you and walk out. you really could’ve..but what’s the fun in that?
you smile and abby snorts, “I knew it.” abby wasted no time in kissing you, sucking your bottom lip like she had been yearning for this. she quickly moved from your lips to your neck, her hand that was once on your waist moving all the way down to your hips, giving it a squeeze. “abby, someone is gonna walk in!” she gives you a big grin, “we better make this quick then, yeah?” and with that, you two switch places. abby had you pressed against the sink now, making you face the mirror as she bent you over. “your wife has no idea what to do with all of this..” she lands a heavy smack on your ass, making you jump. “fuck! abby!” you hiss, looking back at her with a frown. “you’ll forgive me in a minute.” abby lifts your dress up, scoffing in disbelief, “holy shit, look at how soaked you are..” she pulls your panties down, stooping down and spreading your lips before planting a few kisses on your clit. she gives your pussy a slow, deliberate lick, flicking her tongue over your clit as she swirls her tongue over your slick labia.
you tried to suppress your moans to avoid attracting attention to the bathroom, but it was almost impossible because abby ate pussy like a god. the sounds she was making while sloppily tongue fucking you was so vulgar, your hands gripping the sink while you struggled to hold yourself up. “legs already giving out? I haven’t even used my fingers yet.” she sneers, pushing two thick fingers into you without warning. “you took that soo easy..stay still for me.” she slowly slides her fingers in and out of you, groaning softly at how wet you are. it didn’t take long for abby to quicken her pace, which triggered a slew of curse words and moans leave your mouth, “oh fuck!yesyesyes!..” you felt yourself getting closer each time her fingers pumped in and out of you, “right there!” you moaned out, your brows furrowing completely. abby removes her fingers just as you say that, rubbing your clit and simultaneously swirling her tongue around your hole. “cmon pretty, cum for me..” she mumbles into your pussy, her voice making your eyes roll to the back of your head.
“ohmygod!” you yelp, releasing onto her tongue while your legs threaten to betray you. abby drew out your orgasm as much as she could, giving your slit a few more kisses and licks before standing up and helping you find your balance. “holy fuck..” you gasp, your head spinning as you clutch abby’s shoulder for support to stand. after you fixed your dress, you try to walk out of the bathroom, but abby, already wary from your stumble, gently steadies you, her eyes full of concern. “don't think you should be walking..” she whispers, swooping you up in one swift motion. when you two exited the bathroom, the club looked even more packed and you would’ve loved to stay if abby didn’t tell you to wrap it up.
abby walks back over to the bar, looking for nicole so the two of you can leave. “hey nikki, do you think you can call us a cab?” abby asks, glancing down at you, who looked like you were about to pass out from exhaustion. you had no idea what time it was, and you even lost count of how much you had to drink; however, your mind was elsewhere, thinking about the events that had just taken place in the bathroom. you weren't too bothered right now, more tired than anything. but if you were being honest, guilt was gnawing at you slowly, and you were gonna feel it harder the next morning.
monday, october 6th. 1:45 am.
abby carefully helps you out of the car, picks you up once again, and brings you to your doorstep. abby rings the doorbell, her face flushed red the moment ellie opens the door. “what the?- y/n, what the hell? how much did she drink?” ellie looks pissed, her mouth hanging open in disbelief at the sight of you. you could barely keep your eyes open, smiling lazily when you spot ellie. “okay, first of all, put my wife down! and second of all, what the fuck happened?” ellie was relieved that you were safe, but she was definitely not fond of the fact that abby was the one keeping you safe. to ellie, abby was a bad influence and trusting her was something she couldn't do. abby slowly brought you to your feet, handing ellie your belongings as she angrily stared her down. “too many shots. we drank the same amount, so don't get the wrong idea.” abby sighed, understanding the frustration but not having the energy to deal with it right now.
“listen, I don't know what your deal is, but you need to back off of my wife,” ellie points an accusing finger at her, her jaw clenched and her brows furrowed. abby shakes her head. “relax. your wife is sweet and all, but she’s really just a friend to me.” abby attempts to reassure ellie but that only made her grit her teeth. “just because you and your wife aren't happy, doesn't mean that me and mine aren't. back off.” ellie grunts before leading you inside and slamming the door shut in abby’s face.
abby scoffs and walks back to the cab, getting in with a huff. “rough night?” the driver asks, glancing at her through the rear-view mirror as he slowly drives away. "yup," abby replies quietly, twisting the wedding ring around her finger. she begins to think about what ellie said, smirking slightly as she reaches into her pocket and pulls out a pair of black lace panties—your black lace panties. “rough night indeed,” she smiles, shoving them back in her pocket as she leans back into the seat. ellie may have been right about one thing, but abby had already one-upped her without her even knowing.
“I was out there on the road, life out of control.”

it was late. very late. abby hadn’t called nor texted you to update you about her whereabouts or how long she was gonna take to come back home, so naturally you were pissed. you looked at her location and saw it pinning towards her job. “of fucking course..” you mumbled to yourself. you called abby, the phone ringing for what seemed like forever. no answer. you try again, and again, and again..and then silence.. “hello?” she answered, sounding gruff and stressed. “abigail, what the actual hell are you doing?” you say, irritation clearly in your voice.
“I’m working, y/n. this is pretty a bad time. what’s wrong?” she sighs softly. there was never a good time. “what’s wrong? I’ll tell you what’s fucking wrong. you’re barely at home anymore. it’s rare that I even wake up to you in the bed next to me.” you say angrily, getting mad at the fact she made it seem like it was nothing. she remains silent as you put your head down in disbelief. “y/n I’m trying..but—” she finally says but you cut her off quickly, “you aren’t trying, abigail..you aren’t. you said last time would be the last fucking time that something like this were to happen and you’ve done it again? ” you pinch the bridge of your nose as you wait for her response.
“baby I..I promise I’ll try harder. I’ll take a week off for me and you.” she mutters, trying to make the situation better somehow. you think about it carefully before taking a deep breath and replying to her, “fine.” you reply monotonously, hovering your finger over the red button to hang up but abby starts speaking again, “that’s my girl. I love you.” she utters into the phone. you take a few seconds to respond but give in, replying with a small ‘love you too’.
the new week came pretty quickly. as you sat up in your bed, expecting to start your day alone again, you heard a groggy voice call out to you. “where are you going? come back to bed..” it was abby. you whipped your head around and looked at abby, who was now sitting up and rubbing her eyes. “morning.” she smiled at you, reaching over to you and pulling you into her arms. she places a gentle kiss on your forehead while rubbing your back comfortingly. “you’re here..thank you.” you whispered to her. “of course I am. anything for my girl.” she said. this is all you wanted. all you ever asked for. her time. as happy as you were though, it just didn’t feel the same..but she was here now and you were gonna make the most of it.
☆
you placed her plate of breakfast onto the table and sat down across from her. you watched her take a few bites of her food before her phone rang. you watched as she let it ring out twice but the call seemed inevitable. she finally picked up the call and went into a different room, leaving you alone. you sighed, realizing what was about to happen. she comes back about 5 minutes later, her face clear with guilt. “my boss called..he said I have to come in.” she muttered quietly. you clenched your hands and shut your eyes, not even asking if she told him no because deep down..you knew the answer. you would always be a second choice for her. “go.” you say sternly. “are you su—” you cut her off once again, “just go.”
abby rubs the back of her neck, feeling ashamed. “I’m sorry.” she says quickly before walking back into your shared bedroom and getting ready to leave and head to her beloved job. “un-fucking-believable..” you scoff, standing up from the table and heading into the living room. you fall back onto the couch, closing your eyes and sighing as you throw your head back in agitation. you were so angry and frustrated but at the same time sad and understanding. you knew abby cared a lot about her job and being a manager to a company is something you’ll never understand..but she would always pass up a chance to miss work. on weekends she would go in too, even if she didn’t have to.
it was a never ending cycle with abby and for some reason she just didn’t understand why you were so mad. the whole house felt so gloomy. there was so much tension and unspoken things that seemed to be lingering. abby came out the room and stopped to look at you, frowning slightly as she fixed her collar. “baby I promise I’ll try to make it home early tonight. I mean it.” abby bites the inside of her cheek while she waits for your response but all she’s faced with is silence. she takes a deep breath and grabs her keys, opening the door to leave but not before saying ‘I love you’ and closing the door. you feel your eyes sting, tears threatening to leave them. it might’ve been selfish but you missed when abby wasn’t a manager. back then, she used to make her schedule as flexible as possible to accommodate the both of you but now her schedule was just mainly work. everything was becoming too much and you were fed up.
☆
3 days had went by since then. barely any words had been exchanged between you two since you rarely see her and when you do, she’s “too tired to argue” and goes to bed. abby genuinely thought that you didn’t want to talk to her..at least civilly of course. she questioned a lot about why you were distant but never got the chance to ask you. you gave up on calling her and asking about where she was because you knew where she was. though this night was different. abby actually came home but..out of it? she seemed tipsy or almost completely drunk. she looked like she had been crying her eyes out for hours and when she spotted you on the couch, she basically lost it. “baby…” she murmured as she stumbled towards you. her hair was extremely disheveled and her breath reeked of alcohol. “abigail, are you drunk? how did you even get home? are you ok?” you bombarded her with questions immediately, standing up and inspecting her carefully.
“I’m fine. I had a co worker drive me home.” she looked away from you, obviously sounding ashamed of herself once again. “but don’t worry about me, I just wanna make things up to you..” she looked back at you before wrapping her arms around you and kissing you passionately. you almost gave in but pushed her off of you gently. “abby..no. I’m sorry but you can’t keep thinking that sex can fix everything…and you can’t keep brushing everything off like it’s nothing. you’re literally drunk and you’re telling me not to worry? forget about it.” you turn around and walk into the bedroom, abby following close behind you. “y/n, wait please. I can make it up to you a different way..I’m sorry.” abby sounds desperate now. her voice strained and raspy, you almost feel bad for her but you were at your limit. you grab a small bag and throw some clothes into it, as well as any other necessities you had needed and turned to finally face abby.
“abby I— I can’t do this. you don’t have time for me anymore and you always think that fucking me will magically make me forget about how you treat me. I’ve tried so hard make things work but every time I think you finally realize how I feel, you show me that you clearly don’t.” you pick up the bag swiftly and go to leave the room but abby blocks you. “y/n, baby, please..we can fix this..I can fix this.” she’s hysterical now. her face red and wet from her tears. you can tell she’s probably sincere but you were too angry to care. “it’s too late, abby. I’m done.” you move her off of you and shove past her. “I’m gonna stay by a friend. please don’t call me. I don’t wanna talk to you for a while..or at all. I’ll have the rest of my stuff out of here by the end of next week.” you look back at abby who looked so distraught yet wasn’t saying anything. abby had now realized what was wrong. not like she didn’t before but she had been oblivious to the severity of the situation and never bothered to actually have a conversation with you about anything.
you took up your car keys and left. abby rushed over to the front door and watched as you got into your car and drove away. and although you were pissed, abby was someone you expected to stay with for eternity. you two were together for so long that you would’ve never guessed that your rival would be her job. as you drove up to a red light, you could feel yourself slowly unraveling as you screamed in the car. you hit your steering wheel harshly as you cursed and wailed to your hearts content. you knew you still loved abby badly, but you couldn’t even keep up with her. despite the times you would see her, all she would do is eat, sleep, and leave for work. this was your breaking point. you heard the vibration of notifications coming from your phone and ignored it, continuing to drive even while wildly crying behind the wheel.
☆
when you finally pulled up to your friends house, composed and collected, you looked at your phone and felt your heart sink. abby called you over 10 times and only now had resorted to texting. you felt yourself gradually becoming reckless again as you read the few messages she sent you.
‘I’m so sorry. I feel like I just lost everything.’
‘we can work things out. I promise. please come home.’
‘I never meant to hurt you baby. I never wanted the relationship to end because of me.’
‘please respond. at least let me know that you’re ok.’
you can sense yourself getting sick by the second. you felt horrible. but if abby wouldn’t put you first, then you had to. you didn’t respond to her messages and for great measure, you made the harsh decision to block her. you had to stand your ground. you felt better. at least you thought you did. you made the right decision right? you couldn’t turn back now anyway. this was for the best.

it’s october and a cool festival opens up every year for everyone to go to, so you and abby decide to go since you guys go out to fun places as if it’s a tradition. after doing mostly everything in eachother’s lines of sight, abby looks at the new haunted house they opened up and her eyes just light up like a little kid looking at a candy store. “babe look! they opened up the haunted house.” she smiles wildly as she looks back at you. abby knew you liked scary shit, but you had your limits and haunted houses were one of them. you feel a frown spread across your face when you saw it.
“ohh!!…abs are you sure you can handle it?” you ask hesitantly, trying to kinda sway her away from it for now. “..yeah?? why do you think I’m trying to get inside of it?” she grabs your hand when you say nothing and walks you over to the line. “I know you not getting sassy with me abby..” you squint at her but she doesn’t take you seriously. “oh you do NOT wanna see sassy.” she laughs and you just roll your eyes. you guys talk half of the waiting time and before you know it, you’re at the front of the line. “enjoy the house!” the employee smiles at you two and lets you both in. not even 5 minutes of being inside of the house, you cling onto abby’s arm. “jeez..and you were asking me if I can handle it?” she laughs and looks around in awe, “these people need a raise, look at how much effort they put! the little ugly dolls are looking at me funny.” she says as she gets a good look at them. you guys don’t even realize that a person in a realistic ass zombie costume was sneaking up behind you guys because when you two turned around? all hell broke loose the way you screamed bloody murder.
“holy shit..YOUR FACE WAS PRICELESS!” abby starts laughing at you at you and you just frown again, “that’s not funny.” you sigh and look around again, hoping that whatever the fuck that thing was wouldn’t pop up again and scare you. “I’m sorry babe, but look, if you can make it through the rest of this house, I’ll reward you at the end. got it?” she wraps an arm around you and you cling onto her once again. she places a reassuring kiss right on your forehead and leads you through the house once more. “they put too much detail into this place..I don’t like it one bit…” you say while your grip on abby gets even tighter. “baby it’s ok, I got you. remember that none of this is actually real so you’ll be ok. I promise.” abby smiles at you and you just stay quiet, you didn’t even realize that you were holding your breath. “how much more longer do we have in here?” you whine, “not that long baby, cmon you can do it. none of this is real.”
you were ok for awhile, trying your best to keep your cool but the feeling of being watched made your stomach do flips and turns. the only thing that kept you at bay was the fact that you were holding onto your girlfriend, abby. “abby I really don’t like this.” you utter, still looking over your shoulder every now and then. “you’re a brave girl, aren’t you? we’re almost out baby.” she rubs your shoulder and you relax, you don’t feel as tense anymore and not even 5 minutes later, you guys finally make it out of that horrible place. “seeee?? no need to be scared, we made it out in one piece.” abby shoves you playfully while laughing at the face you made in return, “remind me to never ever come with you to a haunted house again..” you cross your arms and abby kisses your forehead once again. “who are you gonna cling onto then, hm?” you paused, she was right but you kissed your teeth, “whatever..let’s just get in the car, they’re gonna close soon and it’s pretty late.” you say to her, she nods and wraps an arm around your waist while you two walk back to your shared car.
“mmfgh— fuck!” you moan out, her fingers deep inside of you, while her tongue skillfully attacks your clit. her eyes never coming off of you, she’s been thinking about getting you like this for atleast half of the whole night. the way you clung onto her, the way your body pressed up against her, the way you just had her head spinning. she was so proud of you, her brave girl going through a haunted house with her and now she just wants to reward you. “abbyyyy..fuck- too much…” you whine, gripping her hair even tighter and bucking your hips, “you can take it, baby, I know you can..cmon doll, you’re brave aren’t you?” she says while she’s still ramming her fingers in and out of you, driving you absolutely nuts. you try to move back but she pulls you back by wrapping a strong arm around your leg, “don’t fucking run.” she mutters. her eyes darkening as she said it, abby looked feral. she slapped your clit and you flinched, biting the inside of your cheek. your clit was so sensitive from all the stimulation and she was aware of that. very aware. abby pulls her fingers out and shoved them into your mouth. “be a good girl and stay still. I won’t tell you again.” you nod and she takes her fingers out of your mouth.
abby slowly rubs at your clit with her thumb, holding and squeezing your left thigh with her hand while she’s holding eye contact with you again. she started rubbing your clit faster and your breathing hitched. “a-abby please it’s too much!” your back arches as you grasp at her arm for support and try to push her away, “so fuckin’ disobedient..” she groans and slaps at your clit again. she shoves her fingers back inside of you and her mouth latches back onto your clit, her tongue swirling around your bud and sucking harder than before, “abby I’m gonna fucking cum! fuckkk!” your hips buck again and as soon as you feel like your gonna cum, abby completely stops. “you can’t cum yet. you didn’t listen, so now you gotta beg for it baby.” she smirks, “sit up and get on my lap.” she pats her leg and you move onto her, and as soon as you did, she pulls your shirt off and immediately starts groping and sucking at your tits. abby looked feral, the way her hand moved down to smack your ass and make its way back over to your ache, she was all over you. as she starts fingering you again, she kisses you sloppily, your lipgloss smudging as she kisses you, and runny mascara tears rolling down your face.
“abby pleaseeee- oh fuck!” you moan out, feeling yourself reaching your high again, “you wanna cum baby? hm?” she slurs, and all you can do is nod as her half-lidded eyes watch you lose yourself from her just shoving her fingers in and out of you. “abby please let me cum..it’s too muchhhh!!” your hand grips at her shoulder and your eyes roll back from all of the stimulation. “go on sweet girl. go ahead and cum for me baby.” abby starts kissing and sucking at your neck while pinching at your sensitive nipples. the stimulation was sending you insane at this point. you look disheveled and completely drained, “I know baby, it’s okay. you’re almost there.” you felt your vision get blurry and your legs go numb as you cummed all over abby’s fingers. “such a good girl. I’ll clean up and get you something to eat on the way okay?..but first maybe get some clothes on because I may have forgotten that we’re in a parking lot…”
