Brad Bricktower Education Info
Brad Bricktower attended higher education at both Johnson County Community College and the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He attended college starting at age 14, and was enrolled between 2002 and 2008. At JCCC, Brad's concentration was in theatre; he participated in lab theatre, directing, and starred in the musicals Urinetown (as Cladwell) and Rocky Horror Show (as Eddie). He also took writing courses, was a member of the chamber choir, and studied music composition.
At UMKC, Brad's concentration was in musical theatre; he participated in an opera and musical ensemble lab, which put on 2 revues, he performed in 2 operas (Il Ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria and The Pirates of Penzance) and one musical (Working, based on the book by Studs Turkel). He was also a part of the comedy troupe, a part of the Undergraduate Theatre Alliance, and he excelled in his music theory and composition classes.
As part of his schooling, he attended conferences, where he was able to sit in on seminars about script writing and, a passion of his, Commedia del Arte.
He attended master classes with lyricist and composer Jason Robert Brown in 2007, and performer George Lee Andrews in 2004.
