I've rewatched the scene at least ten times now and I still get butterflies in those final moments before the kiss, the... "and you would"...."yes" ...."tell me?" He is practically shaking he wants to touch her so badly, but refuses to make the first move and his breath hitches and stutters like a goddamn romantasy heroine. I will never not be thinking about this scene in some capacity.

rewatching cory and bradley’s fight in 4x05 and thinking about how DEVASTATING bradley’s dialogue must have been to cory, especially when you consider the background from 3x07 - cory and bradley’s visit to martha.

that episode tells us so much about why cory is the way he is, and implies that martha has instilled in him that he is not a good person and has no chance at being one. but bradley tells him he’s not a bad person, that the two of them are more than just “two people that use each other.” and we can see how much it means to him at the end of season 3 when she says she’ll miss him, that after everything that happened she still cares about him.

then in 4x05 bradley just completely betrays that trust they’ve built. but it’s not just the betrayal of trust, it’s how bradley defends it to him. here’s the one person in the world who he thinks could actually love him, who sees him and understands him, and she essentially tells him that she doesn’t trust him at all and sees him just like everyone else does — as a power hungry manipulator who’s only out for his own self interest. and that’s the nail in the coffin that makes him go on the defensive and revert back to his view that they are “two people that use each other,” because that’s how he feels in that moment — used. 

and it’s just so tragic when you consider everything the two of them have been through and how bradley went behind his back instead of just confronting him. obviously he’s going to be hurt, and I just hope bradley will see how much she hurt him and do all she can to make it right.

also sidenote but usually older actors aren’t as comfortable showing any kind of skin on tv so I really was not expecting anything after the kiss, but the fact that we actually got cory and bradley together in bed is INSANE. obviously it was an after scene and they were both pretty covered up but we still got something and it was substantial! they held hands and smiled and billy looked fit as FUCK with his huge arms idgaf I can admit that cause like wow I’m FLOORED we were spoiled rotten tonight 🤭
