7. Recommend a fic that uses a trope you love.
idk if this strictly counts, but for a trope i love that's specific to 911/buddie, i'll go with buckfidelity, and while there are many fics with this trope that i so so so enjoyed, i have to go with eyes spying for your light by the ever fucking wonderful @hyruling (ily Cait 🫶) because god it's so well done. actually maybe the specific trope is fucking before you even kiss (that counts as a general fanfic trope, right?), because i just love when a kiss is treated as more intimate than sex. and Cait wrote this so fucking beautifully (okay she writes every fic so fucking beautifully, but for the purposes of this question!)
10. Recommend a fic that is more than 10 years old.
okay well i was gonna try to keep this in buddie, given that's the brainrot i'm currently suffering from. but alas, will have to go elsewhere! and god. this was such a hard decision to make, and in the end i couldn't make it, so i'm including both for braime (Brienne of Tarth/Jaime Lannister), and they're both by SigilBroken!
the first one is Beast and the Beast, a modern AU that, honestly, i still think about from time to time. (that scene where Brienne sees Jaime call her "my girl" on live television? oh my god. that still makes my stomach swoop)
the other one is the entire series In This Light, which picks up from the ending (i think! haven't read the books) of A Dance With Dragons. god, Jaime in this fic, and Brienne, and the two of them together, and Jaime's children in this, and where the story takes them, and what Jaime and Brienne go through! and the battle at Winterfell with the White Walkers is so fucking well done. and where the entire fic begins?! with Brienne being Jaime's champion?! and the hurt/comfort that occurs?! my god, this fic series. this fic series!!!!!

okay, back to buddie!! this was also difficult to do, but in the end i have to choose the most remarkable thing about coming home to you (is the feeling of being in motion again) by mentholpainting (not sure of their tumblr/if they have a tumblr), because this fic is so good and it's astonishing that it still has fewer than 1000 hits. the yearning and the pining, the kissing and the fucking, Buck saying "do i have to beg?" and Eddie realizing yes, yes he does, and Buck begs. instantly. without question. i've been meaning to reread this fic, so maybe i will now!! just glancing at it makes me want to dive back in.
okay wait actually i'm cheating on this one, too. gonna also choose the reason comes (on the common tongue) by myfathersdaughter because it's so so so excellent. i love some soft sex, some casual cuddling, some nonsexual intimacy, and i love when the sex and the cuddling and the intimacy just comes so, so easily to them. when it feels just so natural. and this fic checks all the boxes.
