i love mike and dustin’s dynamic sm
mike starts talking about how he figured out the complexities of the ud and dustin translates his explanation into a dnd metaphor that makes it easier for everyone else to understand. mike will call on dustin to help him and other people understand his own thoughts through dustin’s clear and precise explanations and dustin will trust mike to figure out how to put those ideas to use in solving a problem just like will does
After his shower woohoo with Abbie, Rayne felt incredibly guilty. Everything was clear between him and Abbie, it was a one time thing, just for fun, no expectations. Abbie had even said with a wink "Don't worry, Rayne, you're hot and all, but you're definitely not boyfriend material." Leaving Rayne to wonder: had she just called him an unfaithful jerk?
Whatever Abbie thought of him, there was still Mao. But how could he tell her that he not only didn't want to be her boyfriend, but also had woohoo'd with her flatmate? He didn't know how to tell her that. So he simply avoided her. He spent as little time as possible in the dorms, hiding away in classes, visiting all his professor during their office hours (twice), tutoring other students (and yay, getting paid for that), studying at the library...
He threw himself on his studies with such vigour, that he became a Senior Member of the Brainiacs in no time.
Hoshi Sato would have been a thousand times more at home on the discovery than on the enterprise and you are highly unlikely to convince me otherwise
